Study on microstructure and impact toughness of laser hybrid welding joints
Materials Science and Technology, 2023In the study, laser-MIG hybrid welding of high-strength shipbuilding steel was conducted. The microstructure and impact toughness were studied. The microstructure of the Filling and capping weld metal (FCWM) is widmanstatten and acicular ferrite. The microstructure of the backing WM (BWM) and the heat-affected zone (HAZ) are bainite. The impact energy

Impact of solubility on laser tissue-welding with albumin solid solders
Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, 2000The correlation between the solubility of solid albumin solders and their laser weld strength was investigated.Sections of dog intestine were laser welded with soluble or insoluble solid strips of solder. Two different treatments were followed for tissue soldering: "wet weld" and "dry weld." These treatments were chosen to assess the impact of ...

The impact of zinc-coating on laser hybrid welding of steel
ICALEO 2007: 26th International Congress on Laser Materials Processing, Laser Microprocessing and Nanomanufacturing, 2007Hybrid Nd:YAG/MAG welding of ultra high strength steel is studied for 1.5 mm thick sheets in I-, T-and overlap joint type configuration. Untreated and zinc-coated steels were compared, causing distinct differences in terms of process stability and welding result.

The conductive oxide impact on Aluminum alloy of YAG pulse laser welding
2017 18th International Conference on Electronic Packaging Technology (ICEPT), 2017Few articles are reported about conductive oxide impacting on Aluminum alloy of Nd: YAG pulse laser welding at present. Therefore, this paper takes one typical Aluminum alloy as laser welding samples. Through SEM (scanning electron microscope) microscopic analysis and contrast, the comparative study between on with and without surface conductive ...

Impacts on keyhole oscillations and process pores during laser deep penetration welding
ICALEO 2015: 34th International Congress on Laser Materials Processing, Laser Microprocessing and Nanomanufacturing, 2015Pore formation during laser deep penetration welding is closely related to process dynamics. Dynamics occur due to a variety of effects like fluctuations of absorption on the keyhole wall, melt pool flow or inherent power variations from the laser machine.
