Ultranarrow linewidth waveguide excimer lasers
Applied Optics, 1989We have constructed a single longitudinal mode XeCl laser using microwave discharge waveguide laser technology. The pulse duration, repetition rate, and simplicity of construction associated with waveguide excimer lasers lend this system unique capabilities and a broad utility for interfacing with other excimer devices.

Hybrid integrated narrow-linewidth semiconductor lasers
Applied Optics, 2023Integrated narrow-linewidth lasers are the key devices in compact coherent optical systems of metrology, sensing, and optical microwave generation. Here, we demonstrate a hybrid integrated laser based on an optical negative feedback scheme.

Laser diode linewidth measurements
Proceedings of 2003 5th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks, 2003., 2004A spectrum of laser diode radiation forms a qualitative criterion of the laser diode applicability as a fiber telecommunications source. Hence, there is need to measure/estimate its spectral linewidth. Having a few different commercial laser sources at the range of third telecommunication window we developed laser linewidth measurements.

The contribution of quantum fluctuations of the electromagnetic-field amplitude and phase and the medium to the semiconductor laser linewidth is found. It is shown that this contribution increases the linewidth by an order of magnitude in comparison with the contribution of spontaneous radiation.
