Linewidth characteristics of un-cooled fiber grating Fabry–Perot laser controlled by the external optical feedback [PDF]
The effect of external optical feedback (OFB) on the linewidth characteristics of un-cooled laser module is theoretically investigated. This laser that consists of a Fabry–Perot (FP) laser diode and fiber Bragg grating (FBG) realizes stable operation and

Study on external cavity diode laser with a wide mode-hopping free tuning range
A wide mode-hopping free and narrow linewidth tunable laser diode source with a Littman-Metcalf arrangement based on a diffraction grating is presented. Several experiments are carried out to demonstrate the tuning characteristics and spectral linewidth ...

Cost efficient narrow linewidth laser transmitter for coherent detection [PDF]
Authors present a cost efficient narrow linewidth laser transmitter for future coherent detection systems. The spectral purity of the laser allows the phase modulation of data signals at bit rates as low as 155 Mb ...

Prospects for a Millihertz-Linewidth Laser [PDF]
We propose a new light source based on having alkaline-earth atoms in an optical lattice collectively emit photons on an ultranarrow clock transition into the mode of a high Q resonator. The resultant optical radiation has an extremely narrow linewidth in the mHz range, even smaller than that of the clock transition itself due to collective effects.

Linewidth Reduction by Feedforward Locking a Laser Diode to a Femtosecond Comb Line
We propose and demonstrate a novel method to narrow the linewidth of a laser diode at 1550 nm by an electronics-assisted feedforward path and weak locking to a femtosecond comb line simultaneously.

Sub-kHz lasing of a CaF_2 Whispering Gallery Mode Resonator Stabilized Fiber Ring Laser
We utilize a high quality calcium fluoride whispering-gallery-mode resonator to stabilize a simple erbium doped fiber ring laser with an emission frequency of 196 THz (wavelenght 1530 nm) to a linewidth below 650 Hz.

L-Band Erbium Fiber Laser with Tunable and Narrow Sub-kHz Linewidth Output
In this paper, a wavelength-selectable erbium-doped fiber (EDF) laser in L-band bandwidth with a simple structure and low cost is described. To obtain stable single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) and narrow laser linewidth, the 2 m unpumped EDF-based saturable ...

Quantitative study of desctructive quantum interference effect on the linklin CPT [PDF]
We investigate experimentally and theoretically the Coherent Population Trapping (CPT) effect occurring in 87Rb D1 line due to the interaction with linearly polarized laser light (lin||lin CPT).
