ANALYSIS OF LAND USE SPATIAL PATTERN CHANGE OF TOWN DEVELOPMENT USING REMOTE SENSING [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The Assessment of the physical character of a city is considered relatively easier than the social-cultural aspects. It is important to recognize the type of city form and to predict the behavior of people in the city and its surrounding.

Development of a laser for differential absorption lidar measurement of atmospheric carbon dioxide [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In the quest for a better understanding of climate change, greater importance is attached to monitoring the levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide to gain an improved knowledge of sources and sinks.

Vertical Profiles of Aerosol Optical and Microphysical Properties During a Rare Case of Long-range Transport of Mixed Biomass Burning-polluted Dust Aerosols from the Russian Federation-kazakhstan to Athens, Greece

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
Multi-wavelength aerosol Raman lidar measurements with elastic depolarization at 532 nm were combined with sun photometry during the HYGRA-CD campaign over Athens, Greece, on May-June 2014. We retrieved the aerosol optical [3 aerosol backscatter profiles

Optical Properties and Radiative Forcing Estimations of High-Altitude Aerosol Transport During Saharan Dust Events Based on Laser Remote Sensing Techniques (CLIMPACT Campaign 2021, Greece)

open access: yesRemote Sensing
We present two case studies of tropospheric aerosol transport observed over the high-altitude Helmos observatory (1800–2300 m a.s.l.) in Greece during September 2021.

Aerosol Activity and Hygroscopicity Combined with Lidar Data in the Urban Atmosphere of Athens, Greece in the Frame of the HYGRA_CD Campaign

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
Measurements of cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) concentrations between 0.2-1.0% supersaturation and aerosol size distribution were performed at an urban background site of Athens during HygrA-CD.

Influence of Absorption Cross-Sections on Retrieving the Ozone Vertical Distribution at the Siberian Lidar Station

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2022
The purpose of this paper is to study how the application of different sets of absorption cross-sections influence the ozone vertical distribution (OVD) in the upper layers of the troposphere—stratosphere in the altitude range ~(5–45) km, using a ...

An NDVI Retrieval Method Based on a Double-Attention Recurrent Neural Network for Cloudy Regions

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
NDVI is an important parameter for environmental assessment and precision agriculture that well-describes the status of vegetation. Nevertheless, the clouds in optical images often result in the absence of NDVI information at key growth stages.

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Feature-Based Network for Cloud Removal in Sentinel-2 Imagery

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
Cloud contamination is a common issue that severely reduces the quality of optical satellite images in remote sensing fields. With the rapid development of deep learning technology, cloud contamination is expected to be addressed.
