A Dislocation Perspective on Strength and Toughness in Ceramics
Dislocations in ceramics enjoy a long but yet under‐appreciated history. The three research waves for dislocations in ceramics highlight the topic evolution over the last 90 years. This review focuses on the impact of dislocation on strength and toughness in ceramics.

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

A geometrical-based approach to recognise structure of complex interiors [PDF]
3D modelling of building interiors has gained a lot of interest recently, specifically since the rise of Building Information Modeling (BIM). A number of methods have been developed in the past, however most of them are limited to modelling non-complex

X‐ray computed tomography reveals how process‐induced defects evolve from green to sintered states in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)‐manufactured 17‐4PH stainless steel. Internal porosity, weakest cross‐sections, and fracture locations show strong correlation with tensile performance, demonstrating the potential of computed tomography (CT)‐based ...

Experiments and thermophysical simulations were conducted to investigate the electron beam powder bed fusion electron beam (PBF‐EB/M) process for the γ′‐strengthened nickel‐based superalloy Inconel 738LC. The results demonstrate the impact of process‐induced microstructural variations on high‐temperature mechanical behavior, providing a basis for ...

Hybrid Metal–Carbon Ink for Printed Stretchable Temperature Sensors
We prepare conductive inks for temperature sensing with silver flakes and carbon or graphite flakes in a silicone elastomer matrix. Silver dominates the temperature‐dependent conductivity, while the carbon filler network ensures the stability of the conductive pathways and retains function under strain.

New Advances in Automated Urban Modelling from Airborne Laser Scanning Data
Traditionally, urban models in many applications such as urban planning, disaster management, and computer games only require visual accuracy. However, more recently, updating urban infrastructure combined with the rise of mega-cities (i.e.
