Laser tube for a frequency-stabilized laser

SPIE Proceedings, 1999
In the present work the frequency characteristics of a two- frequency stabilized laser, when the strata appears in the active medium, are given.

The Stabilized Soliton Laser

Topical Meeting on Ultrafast Phenomena, 1986
The soliton laser [1] consists of a synch-pumped, mode-locked color center laser, tunable in the 1.5 μm region, coupled to a second cavity, containing a single mode, polarization preserving optical fiber. (See Fig. 1.) Feedback from the fiber, where pulse compression and soliton formation take place, enables the color center laser to produce transform ...

External Laser Stabilization

2002
Perhaps a more public-relations-sensitive title would be “Sabbatical in a Silicon Valley Paradise.” In fact, 1984 was a great year: George Orwell’s view of that future did appear and it did touch the lives of a significant fraction of mankind — but only as an Apple Computer advertisement during television coverage of the Super Bowl football game.

Polarization insensitive laser stabilizer

SPIE Proceedings, 1994
Polarization insensitive laser stabilizer which can be used for both polarized and unpolarized beams is presented. The system utilizes a polarization independent variable attenuator which is composed of two identical polarization beamsplitting prisms and an improved Pockels cell to control the incoming laser beam intensity.

Stabilized Laser Gravimeter

1974
Abstract : The development and testing of a stabilized laser gravimeter is discussed. A parametric excitation system that is adaptable to the gravimeter is also described. The design and initial development of the stabilized laser gravimeter system have been previously described in AFCRL-TR-74-0355.

Stabilized Lasers and Precision Measurements

Science, 1978
This article traces the development of stabilized lasers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology passive-stabilization experiments of the early 1960's up through the current epoch of highly stabilized helium-neon and carbon dioxide and continuous wave dye lasers. The utility, present performance, and limitations of stabilized lasers as standards

Ultimate Stability of Methane-Stabilized Lasers

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1973
Random frequency fluctuations of the 3.39 µm He-Ne lasers stabilized on an absorption line of methane are theoretically investigated. The minimum detectable frequency deviations are calculated for the method of linear absorption in an external cell and for the method of saturated absorption in an internal cell, and compared with each other.

Optogalvanic Laser Frequency Stabilization

1986
The CO2 laser radiation field intensity is large enough and when is varied it introduces significant changes in the laser plasma microscopic parameters such as discharge sidelight intensity, plasma impedance and gas temperature. From among these parameters, a distinct interest is given to plasma impedance, because it is possible to establish a direct ...

High stability Nd:YAG laser

18th European Frequency and Time Forum (EFTF 2004), 2004
The summary form only given. We report on a high stability optical frequency source based on a Nd:YAG laser. A stable local oscillator is an essential component of an optical frequency standard and the techniques acquired through this research will inform the development of wavelength specific standards referenced to atomic absorptions.

Chemical Stabilization of Laser Dyes.

1984
Abstract : Irradiation of ethanol solutions of coumarin laser dye lasers produces products which absorb at the lasing wavelength. This results in attenuation of dye laser output through interference of stimulated emission. A major photoprocess which produces material which absorbs at the lasing wavelength is dye sensitized solvent oxidative ...
