Laser augmented by brachytherapy versus laser alone in the palliation of adenocarcinoma of the oesophagus and cardia: a randomised study [PDF]
Background: Many patients with advanced malignant dysphagia are not suitable for definitive treatment. The best option for palliation of dysphagia varies between patients. This paper looks at a simple technique for enhancing laser recanalisation.

This work presents a novel sensing platform using metallo‐dielectric cryosoret nano‐assemblies and lossless photonic crystals to overcome limitations of conventional plasmonic biosensors. The hybrid system enhances both electric and magnetic field interactions, enabling amplified fluorescence, ultralow detection limits, and prism‐free, objective‐free ...

Effectiveness of Pulse Dye Laser Versus No Treatment in the Treatment of Infantile Hemangiomas [PDF]
Background: Infantile hemangiomas are alarming to new parents and it is natural that their concerns are brought to the medical clinician. Educating the parents about the tumors and the anticipated growth process of the tumor is crucial.

Self‐Immolative Activatable Nanoassembly toward Immuno‐Photodynamic Therapy in TME
A quinone methide‐gated, self‐immolative, H2O2‐responsive nano‐photosensitizer (Pyz/PS) is developed for targeted immuno‐photodynamic therapy. Pyz/PS selectively activates within tumor microenvironments, restores photosensitizer activity, generates ROS, and depletes intracellular GSH, enhancing oxidative stress.
