THE EFFICACY OF LASER THERAPY AND IBUPROFEN ON PAIN AFTER ELASTOMERIC SEPARATOR PLACEMENT: RAPID REVIEW

open access: yesODONTO: Dental Journal, 2021
Background: Separator placement is the first step in orthodontic treatment, which aims to create space between teeth before molar band placement. This procedure can cause pain for the patient. Pain management after separator placement can be done through

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Desmoplastic Melanoma Arising after 1,064 nm q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser of a Suspected Solar Lentigo

open access: yesCase Reports in Dermatological Medicine, 2019
Objectives. To present a case of desmoplastic melanoma (DM) arising after laser therapy of a suspected solar lentigo with the 1,064 nm Q-switched (QS) Neodymium:Yttrium-Aluminum-Garnet (Nd:YAG) laser and discuss the safety of treating suspected solar ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Hydrogel plus growth factors treatment after 2940nm erbium:YAG lattice laser improves periorbital wrinkles and wound healing: a case report

open access: yesJournal of International Medical Research, 2021
Skin aging is an inevitable physiological process and periorbital wrinkling is an active sign of the process. Laser therapy is an effective method for improving periorbital wrinkles and wound care after laser therapy can accelerate the wound healing ...

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Micropulse Laser Therapy as an Integral Part of Eye Disease Management

open access: yesMedicina, 2023
Ocular diseases can significantly impact vision and quality of life through pathophysiological alterations to the structure of the eye. The management of these conditions often involves a combination of pharmaceutical interventions, surgical procedures ...

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Results of Infantile Hemangioma Laser Therapy in Children with Persistent Residual Signs after Systemic Propranolol Therapy: Clinical Cases

open access: yesВопросы современной педиатрии, 2021
Background. Infantile hemangiomas are revealed in 1-3% of newborns and 10-12% of infants. There are only anecdotal reports on the laser therapy efficacy in this pathology management.
