Drone‐based radiotelemetry and imagery systems provide an advantage over traditional techniques for estimating survival of dependent juveniles

open access: yesWildlife Society Bulletin, EarlyView.
We used drone‐based radiotelemetry and multispectral imagery to estimate detection and survival probabilities of blue‐winged teal broods in Saskatchewan, Canada. Weekly brood survival probabilities, estimated via Cormack‐Jolly‐Seber models, increased with age and were comparable between drone methods.

The measurement of pressure-volume diagram of a flat alpha-type Stirling engine based on laser triangulation and hybrid Harris corner methods

open access: yesResults in Engineering
A pressure-volume diagram is often used to determine the indicated work of a Stirling engine. In this study, both the laser triangulation and hybrid Harris corner detection methods are proposed.

YOLO‐GDCNN: Real‐Time Operating Point Detection for Live Working Robots in the Power Industry

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In the power industry maintenance, the capability of live working robots to detect and operate with power components in real time is paramount. This paper proposes a cascaded detection framework for real‐time detection of live working operation points, named YOLO‐GDCNN. The framework consists of two parts.

3D scene reconstruction from body‐worn camera video using 3DF Zephyr

open access: yesJournal of Forensic Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract Body‐worn cameras document crime scenes during initial law enforcement response, yet their potential for forensic reconstruction has not been empirically validated. Despite expanding global adoption, recorded video primarily serves qualitative documentation rather than quantitative measurement applications.

Evaluating the Differences of Gridding Techniques for Digital Elevation Models Generation and Their Influence on the Modeling of Stony Debris Flows Routing: A Case Study From Rovina di Cancia Basin (North-Eastern Italian Alps) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Debris \ufb02ows are among the most hazardous phenomena in mountain areas. To cope with debris \ufb02ow hazard, it is common to delineate the risk-prone areas through routing models.
