The surfactin C secreted by JDB15 and the probable parasitism of JDL4 lead to the leakage of intracellular macromolecules and the degradation of hyphae, respectively. Combined application of the two strains effectively controls banana Fusarium wilt under controlled conditions.

Innovation in pest management: can the past inform the future?
Progress in pest management occurred incrementally, but occasionally, transformative discoveries introduced disruptive technologies. Looking ahead, generative artificial intelligence is expected to accelerate agricultural discovery by integrating vast datasets from mechanization, genetics, and chemistry.

Enabling Autonomous Navigation on the Farm: A Mission Planner for Agricultural Tasks
This study presents the development of a route planner, called Mission Planner, for an agricultural weeding robot that generates efficient and safe routes both in the field and on the farm using a graph-based approach.

Research on Field Weed Detection Methods for Sweet Corn Seedlings and Laser Weed Control Experiments
Sweet corn has high economic value and is consumed directly, requiring strict environmental and management conditions. However, weed infestation during growth seriously affects yield and quality, while conventional chemical weed control may compromise ...

In planta analysis of the mode of action of cinmethylin and confirmation of fatty acyl‐ACP thioesterases (FATs) as primary site of action. Cinmethylin inhibits FATs, disrupting eukaryotic de novo lipid biosynthesis and causing defects in cell division, elongation and integrity. We confirm FATs as the primary site of action in planta.

Extended bioassays revealed that azadirachtin and spirotetramat show strong delayed effects against Phthorimaea absoluta, underestimated by the standard Insecticide Resistance Action Committee (IRAC) method 022 protocol. Incorporating long‐term exposures is essential to accurately assess slow‐acting insecticides and improve resistance management ...

Using cellular phenotyping and resistance profiling, we show that herbicides across the Herbicide Resistance Action Committee (HRAC) Groups 3 and 23 induce indistinguishable, dose‐dependent microtubule defects. Resistance patterns, rather than cellular phenotypes, reveal distinct sites of action and support reclassifying Group 3 as α‐tubulin binders ...

Development of an Autonomous Electric Robot Implement for Intra-Row Weeding in Vineyards
Intra-row weeding is a time consuming and challenging task. Therefore, a rotary weeder implement for an autonomous electrical robot was developed. It can be used to remove the weeds of the intra-row area of orchards and vineyards.

Automatic insect identification, counting, and monitoring techniques: a review
Automated insect monitoring increasingly integrates optical, acoustic, infrared, radar, electrostatic, and biosensing technologies with artificial intelligence. No single approach is universally optimal; reliable deployment depends on task‐specific validation, representative datasets, robustness under field conditions, energy autonomy, connectivity ...
