Microwave pumped excimer lasers
Microwave excitation is a simple practical method of pumping high-pressure rare-gas-halide laser systems which avoids the discharge instabilities of typical avalanche discharges. Thus long pulse high-repetition rate operation is possible. In addition, the device can be easily constructed with high-vacuum halogen compatible materials and is free from ...

First 20 Years of Orbitrap Mass Spectrometry as the Mainstream Analytical Technique
ABSTRACT This review traces the first 20 years of Orbitrap mass spectrometry as a mainstream high‑resolution and accurate‑mass (HR/AM) technology. It outlines the historical development of the Orbitrap analyzer, the evolution of major instrument families, and the key technological innovations that enabled its widespread adoption. Particular emphasis is

The propagation rate coefficient of di(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate exhibits the same temperature dependency but is a factor of 12 higher in aqueous solution compared to bulk. Smaller increases are observed in ethanol and ethanol/water mixtures, with the value of the rate coefficient decreasing as the monomer concentration in solution is ...

Vacancy‐Induced Z‐Contrast Anomaly in Self‐Assembled (Ti,V)O2 Heterostructure
This study investigates the unexpectedly high contrast observed in ADF‐STEM imaging of spinodal decomposed (Ti,V)O2 heterostructure. In situ heating, GPA, and EELS analyses reveal that oxygen vacancies accumulate in V‐rich layers due to facilitated vacancy migration along [001]R pathways during phase separation by spontaneous ionic diffusion.

ABSTRACT The bulk photovoltaic (BPV) effect in ferroelectric (FE) materials enables the direct conversion and exchange of information between the optical and electrical domains in applications such as photonic computing and photodetection. Although the above‐bandgap open‐circuit voltage in the FE BPV effect permits a much higher photovoltage in ...

Non-Liouvillean ion injection via resonantly enhanced two-photon ionization
The charge-exchange method is now one of the main techniques for ion injection into accelerators and storage rings. The disadvantages of conventional methods, based on the atom or ion stripping in a material target, are emittance growth, energy ...

Quantum State‐Resolved Photodissociation Dynamics Study of Transition‐Metal Carbonyl and Nitrosyl
State‐resolved scattering measurements provide experimental visualization of nuclear motions in reacting molecules. Carbonyls and nitrosyls are typical ligands in most of the transition‐metal complexes, which undergo dissociation upon visible and ultraviolet photoexcitation.
