Dispersion in a Laser Pumped Molecular Laser

1979 International Conference on Submillimeter Waves and Their Applications, 1979
The dispersion equations have been derived for two laser fields of arbitrary intensity interacting with a homogeneously broadened, three-level molecular system. Good agreement is obtained between theoretical and experimental results for frequency detuning in a 385 μm, D 2 O laser and a 496 μm CH 3 F laser.

Diode Laser and Fractional Laser Innovations

Facial Plastic Surgery, 2019
AbstractLaser technology continues to increase in popularity and expand treatment options for patients with common but challenging skin conditions including facial telangiectasias, facial aging, striae distensae, and acne scars. Facial telangiectasias have been estimated to occur in tens of millions of people worldwide.

LASERS AND LASER SAFETY

Survey Review, 1974
Abstract Because lasers are being used increasingly in surveying, knowledge of the way in which a laser beam can damage the human eye is essential. This article describes the process by which damage to the retina may occur, and examines some methods by which this hazard can be reduced, if not eliminated.

Diode laser and endoscopic laser surgery

Veterinary Clinics of North America: Small Animal Practice, 2002
Two functionally important differences exist between the diode laser and the carbon dioxide (CO2) laser (used more commonly in small animal surgery). Diode laser energy is delivered through a quartz fiber instead of being reflected through an articulated arm or waveguide.

Lasers and Laser Radiation

1983
This chapter surveys commercially available lasers and discusses some characteristics of laser radiation that make it useful in the processing and analysis of materials. Performance data for commercial versions of the most widely applied laser sources are outlined.
