Summary Postharvest pathogens can infect fresh produce both before and after harvest, by direct or wound‐enhanced penetration, remaining quiescent until ripening. Biotrophic‐like postharvest pathogens persist beneath host cells and can remain in a state of quiescence.

Dual RNA sequencing of Vitis vinifera during Lasiodiplodia theobromae infection unveils host-pathogen interactions [PDF]
Lasiodiplodia theobromae is one of the most aggressive agents of the grapevine trunk disease Botryosphaeria dieback. Through a dual RNA-sequencing approach, this study aimed to give a broader perspective on the infection strategy deployed by L ...

Lasiodiplodins from mangrove endophytic fungusLasiodiplodiasp. 318# [PDF]
Four new lasiodiplodins (1–4), together with three known analogues, have been isolated from a mangrove endophytic fungus, Lasiodiplodia sp. 318#. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic techniques. Cytotoxic activities of compounds 1–7 were evaluated in vitro against human cancer lines THP1, MDA-MB-435, A549, HepG2 and HCT-116.

Fungal Effectors in Biotrophic, Necrotrophic and Hemibiotrophic Pathosystems: A Systematic Review
This study compares the mechanisms of action of effectors across different fungal lifestyles. Biotrophs secrete effectors that suppress plant defences, necrotrophs release effectors that induce cell death by activating defence responses, and hemibiotrophs combine both strategies.
