Metabolites of Lasiodiplodia theobromae
Journal of the Chemical Society C: Organic, 1971A plant-growth inhibitor produced by Lasiodiplodia theobromae has been shown to be jasmonic acid (Ia). Six other new fungal metabolites have been isolated from L:theobromae—lasiodiplodin (Va), de-O-methyl-lasiodiplodin (Vb), cis-4-hydroxymellein (XIIIa), indole-3-carboxylic acid, 3-formylindole, and ethyl hydrogen fumarate.

Endophthalmitis after Lasiodiplodia theobromae corneal abscess
Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, 1997Lasiodiplodia theobromae is an exceptional cause of human keratomycosis. We treated a 53-year-old man with fungal keratitis, which had been treated with topical betamethasone and gentamicin for 1 month, and endophthalmitis due to Lasiodiplodia theobromae.

Lasiodiplodia theobromae as a cause of keratomycoses
Medical Mycology, 1976Four cases of human keratitis caused by the tropical fungus Lasiodiplodia theobromae have been encountered in Miami, Florida bringing to 8 the number of cases reported in the world literature. Two of the ulcers were mild. Three patients recovered without severe impairment of vision after topical polyene treatment, but 1 patient with a severe ulcer ...

Lasiodiplodia theobromae onychomycosis among agricultural workers: A case series
Journal of Medical Mycology, 2021Lasiodiplodia theobromae is a dematiaceous non-dermatophyte mold (NDM), rarely reported to cause onychomycosis. Here, we report three cases of toenail onychomycosis caused by L. theobromae in agricultural workers. Two patients presented with total dystrophic onychomycosis and one with distal and lateral subungual onychomycosis.

Light effects on Lasiodiplodia theobromae metabolome cultured in vitro
Metabolomics, 2023The present work identified and compared intracellular metabolites and metabolic networks in mycelial cultures of Lasiodiplodia theobromae grown under 12 natural light and 24 hours' dark using a 1 H NMR-based metabolomics approach.Fungal cultures were grown in potato dextrose media, and metabolites were extracted by sonication with sodium phosphate ...
