Metal‐anode batteries using Li, Na, Mg, and Ca offer exceptionally high energy density, but dendrites, unstable interphases, cracking, and pore formation hinder durability and safety. This review shows how careful electrolyte and interphase design can stabilize these reactive metals.

PRRSV vaccine‐mediated protection is associated with clonally expanded cytotoxic CD8+ T cell subsets driven by viral structural proteins and supported by innate TLR4/TLR8 signaling and CD4+ T cell help, whereas non‐protective responses are characterized by dysfunctional exhausted‐like CD8+ T cells linked to poor viral control.

This review focuses on green synthesis routes for lithium sulfide (Li2S)—a key material for lithium–sulfur batteries and sulfide solid electrolytes, whose traditional carbothermal reduction remains energy‐intensive and unsustainable. Specifically examined routes include low‐temperature solid‐state reactions, magnesiothermal reduction, and solution ...

Receptogenesis in a Vascularized Robotic Embodiment
Functional augmentation of situated robots via ex novo hardware generation extends physical adaptability. Drawing inspiration from open circulatory systems for mass and function redistribution, this study presents a vascularized robotic composite exhibiting receptogenesis ‐ the on‐demand construction of sensors ‐ from internal fluid reserves based on ...

In microglia, STAT3 upregulates TAB2, which promotes NF‐κB activation through its NZF domain‐mediated recognition of K63‐linked ubiquitin chains, leading to inflammatory cytokine release and subsequent neuronal injury. Lumacaftor suppresses TAB2 expression and directly binds the TAB2‐NZF domain to interrupt K63 ubiquitin recognition, thereby blocking ...

Food Tastes in the United States: Convergence or Divergence?
ABSTRACT This study investigates how food consumption tastes have changed in recent decades across the United States. Using NielsenIQ data for over 77 million transactions, there is evidence of divergence in food tastes across regions from 2007 to 2016 and across households of different income, education, and race/ethnicity groups.

When the River Runs Low: Heterogeneous Impacts of Transportation Disruptions on Local Grain Basis
ABSTRACT A substantial share of U.S. soybean and corn exports from the Midwest moves by barge along the Mississippi River system to export terminals in the Louisiana Gulf. Transportation costs between Midwestern grain elevators and export terminals create a wedge between prices at these locations, and shocks to these costs are partially passed on to ...

Online Drone Scheduling for Last-Mile Delivery
Delivering a parcel from the distribution hub to the customer's doorstep is called the \textit{last-mile delivery} step in delivery logistics. In this paper, we study a hybrid {\it truck-drones} model for the last-mile delivery step, in which a truck moves on a predefined path carrying parcels and drones deliver the parcels.

Last Mile Delivery with Drones and Sharing Economy
We consider a combined system of regular delivery trucks and crowdsourced drones, available via a sharing economy platform, to provide a technology-assisted crowd-based last-mile delivery experience. We develop analytical models and methods for a system in which package delivery is performed by a big truck carrying many packages to a neighborhood or a ...
