Performance of an automated insulin‐glucagon delivery system versus automated insulin delivery system during challenging inpatient conditions. A single‐blind randomised controlled crossover trial

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
Abstract Aims To assess the efficacy and safety of an automated insulin‐glucagon delivery system (AIGD) compared with an automated insulin delivery system (AID). Materials and methods In a 33‐h, randomised, crossover, inpatient study, 13 participants with type 1 diabetes used the DiaCon system in AIGD and AID modes.

Integral field spectroscopy of late-type galaxies

open access: yes, 2019

A Morphology Catalog of Galaxies in CEERS: Evolution in the Size and Color Gradients of Galaxies Since Cosmic Dawn

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
We present measurements of morphological parameters from fitting 53,885 galaxies detected to a magnitude limit of F356W < 28.5 in the CEERS NIRCam imaging with galfit in six broadband filters: F115W, F150W, F200W, F277W, F356W, and F444W.

The Star Formation History of Late Type Galaxies [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Astronomical Union, 2006
Abstract The combination of huge databases of galaxy spectra and advances in evolutionary synthesis models in the past few years has renewed interest in an old question: How to estimate the star formation history of a galaxy out of its integrated spectrum?

Questions Should Have Answers

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Philosophy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Making sense of the world often requires one to come up with new ideas, including ideas one had previously been unable to think of. How and when should this be done? I propose and defend a norm of rationality linking wondering, belief, and abilities to conceive: one must not both wonder a question and reject all answers to it that one can ...

100 Proof: H i Observations of 100 Nearby Dwarf Galaxies with the 100 m Green Bank Telescope

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
We describe the results of observations with the 100 m Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope in the H i line of 105 nearby dwarf galaxies, 60 of which were discovered recently in the DESI Legacy Imaging Surveys.

Morphometric and External Injury Characterization of Rainbow Trout (O. mykiss) Used for Stocking in the Alpine River Inn (Bavaria, Germany)

open access: yesFisheries Management and Ecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Stocking fish is a common practice in fisheries management, particularly for species of high conservation value or economic importance. Despite its widespread use, systematic evaluation of fish stockings remains scarce. This includes non‐native species such as rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), which are intensively stocked into European ...

The impact of selection criteria on the properties of green valley galaxies

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Context. The bi-modality in the distribution of galaxies usually obtained from colour-colour or colour-stellar mass (absolute magnitude) diagrams has been studied to determine the difference between galaxies in the blue cloud and in the red sequence, as ...

CANDIDATE ACTIVE NUCLEI IN LATE-TYPE SPIRAL GALAXIES

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2008
We have assembled a sample of 64 late-type spiral galaxies (T types 6.0-9.0, corresponding to Hubble types Scd-Sm) with archival Chandra data. At a signal-to-noise (S/N) threshold of 3, we find 12 objects with X-ray point-source detections in close proximity with the optical or near-infrared position of the nucleus (median offset δ = 16), suggestive of

Innovation Diffusion Among Case‐Based Decision‐Makers

open access: yesJournal of Economics &Management Strategy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper analyzes a model of innovation diffusion with case‐based individuals a la Gilboa and Schmeidler, who decide whether to consume an incumbent or a new product based on their and their social neighbors' previous consumption experiences. I analyze how diffusion patterns change with individual characteristics, innovation characteristics,
