2015Çarşamba, one of the major kazas in the Canik Sanjak, has been of great importance to Samsun with its agricultural products, particularly with its cereals. Drought and famine, having occurred various times in Anatholia, also appeared in Çarşamba, a remarkable agricultural town, and troubled the people in the region, causing many problems.
