1.5 µm Emission Properties of Erbium‐Implanted Thin‐Film Lithium Niobate
Optically active Er3+ ions are incorporated into x‐cut lithium niobate on insulator utilising a focused ion‐beam implantation method capable of sub‐100 nm precision. The implanted regions exhibit telecom‐band emission, with a reduction in photoluminescence intensity and lifetime below 50 K, consistent with pyroelectric‐field effects in the host ...

Epidemiology and Integrated Control of Potato Late Blight in Europe [PDF]
Phytophthora infestans, the causal agent of late blight, is a major threat to potato production in northwestern Europe. Before 1980, the worldwide population of P. infestans outside Mexico appeared to be asexual and to consist of a single clonal lineage of A1 mating type characterized by a single genotype.

Phytophthora infestans (Late blight) Infection Assay in a Detached Leaf of Potato.
Phytophthora infestans is a hemibiotroph oomycete that primarily infects potato and tomato. It infects stems, leaves, and tubers and fruits of potato and tomato.

This study presents an anatomical landmark‐guided DRL framework for autonomous wireless capsule endoscopy navigation. Using a lightweight edge‐contour‐depth fusion module, it achieves over 97% coverage across diverse gastric anatomies. To ensure reliability, a two‐stage sim‐to‐real pipeline with an adaptive dynamic programming controller mitigates ...

Histone Modification Complex JMJ704‐HDA709 Negatively Regulates Salinity Tolerance in Rice
This study reveals that the rice histone demethylase JMJ704 interacts with HDA709―a H3K9ac deacetylase characterized herein―to form a chromatin‐modifying complex. Under salt stress, OsWRKY72 recruits this complex through interaction with JMJ704 to target loci, repressing the expression of oxidative stress and salt‐responsive genes via removal of ...

Conventional passive radiative cooling films rely on costly feedstocks and energy‐intensive fabrication, with poor end‐of‐life compatibility in agriculture. To address this challenge, a sustainable radiative cooling mulch (SRCM) is developed from waste maize leaves via spontaneous hydrogen‐bond self‐assembly.

The invasive nature of late blight (Phytophthora infestans [Mont.] De Bary) and early blight (Alternaria solani Sor.) has caused important losses in the potato crop, and studies point to climatic variability as one of the most significant causes.

An interfacial proton‐relay microenvironment at MoS2‐CuCl heterostructures enables selective O2 activation to 1O2 under neutral conditions. Electron‐deficient sulfur sites mediate proton transfer to Cu‐bound O2, accelerating *OOH hydrogenation while suppressing O─O bond cleavage, achieving stable, efficient pollutant removal.
