The Late Palaeozoic Ice Age unconformity in southern Namibia viewed as a patchwork mosaic
The expansion of ice masses across southern Africa during the Late Palaeozoic Ice Age has been known for 150 years, including the distribution of upland areas in controlling the configuration of glaciation.

10Be age control of glaciation in the Beartooth Mountains, USA, from the latest Pleistocene through the Holocene [PDF]
Alpine glaciers in the western United States are often associated with late Holocene Little Ice Age (LIA) advances. Yet, recent studies have shown many of these glacial landforms are remnants of latest Pleistocene retreat with only the most cirque ...

One of the most important glacial events in the history of the Earth took place during the Late Paleozoic when large areas of the Gondwana Supercontinent were covered by ice-masses (Crowell, 1978; Hambrey and Harland, 1981; Isbell et al., 2003a,b; Rocha

LATE‐GLACIAL AND POST‐GLACIAL DEPOSITS AT MALHAM, YORKSHIRE [PDF]
SummaryPost‐glacial marl in Malham Tarn and marl and peat in Tarn Moss overlie Late‐glacial clays. Pollen analysis suggests that juniper scrub occupied the limestone upland during the Late‐glacial period. In the Post‐glacial period this was supplanted by hazel scrub (possibly with pine) and subsequently oak and elm may have been present.

Record of the Late Paleozoic Ice Age From Tarim, China
The late Paleozoic ice age was one of the three major glaciations in the Phanerozoic. However, the influence and characteristics of this glaciation and deglaciation remain unclear.

In this study, we present a new glacial chronology based on 20 in situ-produced 36Cl-based cosmic ray exposure datings from moraine boulders and bedrock from the Throne of Zeus (TZ) and Megala Kazania (MK) cirques on Mount Olympus.

Obliquity pacing of the late Pleistocene glacial terminations [PDF]
The 100,000-year timescale in the glacial/interglacial cycles of the late Pleistocene epoch (the past approximately 700,000 years) is commonly attributed to control by variations in the Earth's orbit. This hypothesis has inspired models that depend on the Earth's obliquity (approximately 40,000 yr; approximately 40 kyr), orbital eccentricity ...
