Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

Late Second Intermediate Period to Early New Kingdom
The main events of the transition period from the Second Intermediate Period to the New Kingdom are the expulsion of the Hyksos, the reunification of the country, and the reestablishment of a Nubian province. During, and following this process of reunification, the Ahmosids reorganized the administration and started restoration projects.

Old Tombs, New Tenants. Third Intermediate Period and Late Period Reuse of Theban Tombs
The purpose of this study was to investigate the strategies of the reuse of tombs from the Egyptian necropolis of Thebes in the Third Intermediate Period and Late Period (1076-332 BCE). My aim was to analyse the available data on the reuse of Theban tombs, offer some observations regarding the patterns and developments, examine previous scientific ...

Glioblastoma cells express calcitonin receptor variants (CT receptor isoforms) that may help them survive stress. Using qPCR, transcript‐specific long‐read nanopore sequencing, immunofluorescence co‐localisation and comparative sequence analysis, this study identifies a novel alternatively spliced CALCR transcript that encodes the CTb receptor isoform ...

Models and idea in Beethoven's Late 'Trifles': A stylistic study of the Bagatelles, op. 126 [PDF]
The Bagatelles for piano that Beethoven wrote in the last decade of his life have attracted little attention in comparison to the 'major' works of the same period. The six Bagatelles he published as op. 126 display a deeper concentration of musical ideas

Comparative assessment of crystallographic and cryo‐EM models in the Protein Data Bank
Raw data obtained by X‐ray crystallography or cryo‐EM result in experimental maps, ultimately fitted by atomic models. Although the physical principles are different, the final results can be viewed, compared, and evaluated in the same way. With cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) on track to surpass X‐ray crystallography as the preferred method ...

In this study, a novel esterase from the thermoacidophilic archaeon Thermoplasma acidophilum was biochemically and structurally characterized. Our results demonstrate that Ta0887 is a highly thermostable esterase that preferentially hydrolyzes p‐nitrophenyl hexanoate and possesses an α‐helical cap domain that likely contributes to its substrate ...

BCG vaccination potentiates oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal myeloid‐derived suppressor cells
BCG vaccination enhances oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal MDSCs, impairing their immunosuppressive function. It upregulates electron transport chain genes and mitochondrial activity, increasing ATP and oxygen consumption. Pharmacological OXPHOS inhibition partially restores suppressive capacity, confirming causality.

Changes in the Htp-dj-nsw Formula in the Late Middle Kingdom and the Second Intermediate Period
The paper focuses on the formal criteria to date the inscriptions currently attributed to the “Late Middle Kingdom” more precisely. This time-span is divided into three periods: the late Twelfth dynasty (Senwosret III to Neferusobek), the Thirteenth ...
