Social Policies and Structures: Institutional Frictions and Traps in the Czech Republic After 1989 [PDF]
This paper compares the standard economic and a complementary socio-economic approach to the transition. While the economic approach looks at social problems from the outside and views them as costs of transition, the socio-economic approach looks at ...

Text Mining of CVD Synthesis Recipes for 2D Materials
A lightweight, multi‐stage natural language processing framework utilizes fine‐tuned BERT models to extract chemical vapor deposition synthesis knowledge from diverse 2D materials literature. The domain‐adapted workflow integrates classification, named entity recognition, and extractive question answering to systematically retrieve categorical and ...

Hidden Symmetries in Real and Theoretical Networks
Symmetries are ubiquitous in real networks and often characterize network features and functions. Here we present a generalization of network symmetry called \emph{latent symmetry}, which is an extension of the standard notion of symmetry.

Asymmetry of the Ferroelectric Phase Transition in BaTiO3
Phase transitions are typically assumed to behave identically in forward and reverse. This work shows that in the ferroelectric material barium titanate this is not true: heating drives an abrupt, first‐order jump, while cooling gives a smooth, continuous change.

Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...
