Heat and Mass Transfer Model of a Cross-flow Heat-source Tower based on the Ɛ-NTU Method
Based on the ?-NTU method, a heat- and mass-transfer model of a cross-flow heat-source tower was established, and the transient simulation of the model was performed using the TRNSYS simulation platform.

The investigations of materials presumably suitable as storage media for latent heat indicate that water, some salt hydrates and eutectic mixtures of water and salt hydrates possess extreme heats of fusion. Their melting points, ranging from about -50° to + 130°C, fit well for storing low grade heat in residential energy systems.

Universal properties for linelike melting of the vortex lattice
Using numerical results obtained within two models describing vortex matter (interacting elastic lines (Bose model) and uniformly frustrated XY-model) we establish universal properties of the melting transition within the linelike regime.

A W/NbOx/Pt memristor demonstrates the coexistence of volatile, non‐volatile, and threshold switching characteristics. Volatile switching serves as a reservoir computing layer, providing dynamic short‐term processing. Non‐volatile switching, stabilized through ISPVA, improves reliable long‐term readout. Threshold switching operates as a leaky integrate

A solar air collector with integrated latent heat thermal storage
Simulations of the behaviour of a solar air collector with integrated latent heat thermal storage were performed. The model of the collector was created with the use of coupling between TRNSYS 17 and MATLAB.

On the indoor hygrothermal regulation ability of earth building walls [PDF]
A coupled finite element model has been developed to investigate the ability of earth walls to regulate indoor hygrothermal conditions. The model simulates heat and water transfers across earth walls, accounting for pore water phase changes and the ...

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Convective structure of the planetary boundary layer of the ocean during gale [PDF]
The structure of the Planetary Boundary Layer (PBL) was measured, using an airborne lidar, over the Atlantic Ocean during several intensive observation periods of the Genesis of Atlantic Lows Experiment (GALE). Primary emphasis is on the understanding of
