Nanodiamond Sensing in Dynamic Environments With Fast‐Tracking Through Four‐Point Positioning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A four‐point positioning tracking (4PPT) platform enables fast 3D feedback translational tracking of fluorescent nanodiamonds while simultaneously recording ODMR spectra. By integrating real‐time translational tracking with quantum sensing, mobile nanodiamonds are used for in‐situ nanothermometry, nanorheometry, and 6D translation–rotation tracking in ...

Ammonium Salts as Curing Agents to Obtain Ionic Epoxy Resins With a Thermoplastic‐to‐Thermoset Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic epoxy networks are prepared using ammonium salts as hardeners, leading to a two‐stage curing process with a thermoplastic‐like intermediate. This uncommon behavior enables extrusion and fabrication of thermoplastic prepregs that can be cured into thermoset composites.

Mobilization in civil war : latent norms, social relations, and inter-group violence in Abkhazia

open access: yes, 2014
What explains individual and small group mobilization for inter-group violence? How does participation in inter-group violence inform high-risk action in subsequent cycles of mobilization? This dissertation poses four puzzles of violent mobilization across the pre-, civil war, and post-war stages in the conflict cycle to analyze mobilization in civil ...

LEAD: Literature Enhanced Ab Initio Discovery of Nitride Dusting Layers for Enhanced Tunnel Magnetoresistance and Lower Resistance Magnetic Tunnel Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...
