Satisfactory treatment of lateral epicondylitis results from correct diagnosis followed by a well-controlled operative or nonoperative treatment program. Many options for nonoperative and operative treatment exist for lateral epicondylitis. More study is needed on outcomes of both nonoperative treatment and operative treatment so that each patient can ...

Lateral epicondylitis is a diagnostic term that describes a pattern of pain and localized tenderness at the lateral epicondyle of the distal humerus. In this article, we discuss the pathology, clinical presentation, and treatment of this disorder. After a description of nonoperative treatment, we focus on the operative techniques for treating the ...

Laterality: Asymmetries of Body, Brain and Cognition, 2013
Turning preferences among 309 white-faced ewes were individually evaluated in an enclosed, artificially lit T-maze, followed by each ewe choosing either a right or left return alley to return to peers. Data recorded included time in the start box, time in the T-maze, exit arm chosen to leave the T-maze, and return alley.

Recent findings suggest that cerebral laterality will not be understood in terms of simple dichotomies, such as the idea that the left hemisphere is analytic and the right holistic. Rather, hemisphere differences can be better explained in terms of relatively specific principles that extend over limited domains. For visual perception and mental imagery,

The lateral superficial musculoaponeurotic system-ectomy (SMASectomy) is a safe, versatile, and easily reproducible technique in facelift surgery. The ability to resect a portion of the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) over the junction of the mobile and fixed SMAS produces a powerful lift with similar aesthetic results to a traditional ...

Laterality index in functional MRI: methodological issues
In functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), hemispheric dominance is generally indicated by a measure called the laterality index (LI). The assessment of a meaningful LI measure depends on several methodological factors that should be taken into ...
