Turbidimetric Latex Agglutination Inhibition Immunoassay for Primidone.
We have developed a quick, highly sensitive immunoassay method for drugs by latex agglutination inhibition. An antiserum against primidone (PRM) was obtained by immunizing rabbits with PRM-bovine serum albumin conjugate. PRM-rabbit serum albumin conjugate sensitized latex was agglutinated with diluted antiserum, and the agglutination was inhibited by ...

Confirmation of the use of Latex IgM on cerebrospinal fluid for improving stage determination of Human African Trypanosomiasis [PDF]
The clinical evolution of the chronic form of Human African Trypanosomiasis starts with the haematolymphatic or first stage (P1). The meningoencephalitic or second stage (P2) begins when trypanosomes reach the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).

Latex Agglutination Test for Disseminated Lupus Erythematosus.
SummaryPolystyrene latex particles, after treatment with calf thymus nucleoprotein, were agglutinated by some DLE sera. The agglutinating property of DLE serum in most cases paralleled the results of LE cell tests. DNA in small amounts inhibited nucleoprotein latex agglutination.

ABSTRACT D‐dimer defines degradation products derived from the proteolysis mediated by plasmin on cross‐linked fibrin. The evidence‐based use of D‐dimer in some conditions has been consolidated. Currently, however, there is an entrenched prescription of D‐dimer testing to screen otherwise healthy subjects that may induce prescribing physicians to start

MEMS reagent and sample handling procedure: Feasibility of viral antibody detection by passive immune agglutination [PDF]
An attempt was made to develop a test requiring no preadsorption steps for the assessment of antibodies to rubella and mumps viruses using the passive immune agglutination (PIA) method. Both rubella and mumps antigens and antibodies were prepared. Direct

Recent trends in molecular diagnostics of yeast infections : from PCR to NGS [PDF]
The incidence of opportunistic yeast infections in humans has been increasing over recent years. These infections are difficult to treat and diagnose, in part due to the large number and broad diversity of species that can underlie the infection.
