Rapid Latex Agglutination Test for Rubella Antibody

Journal of Clinical Microbiology, 1983
The latex agglutination card test (Rubascan) for the detection of rubella antibody was compared with the standard hemagglutination inhibition and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay tests. There was complete agreement with sera which had hemagglutination inhibition titers of ≥16.

LATEX-AGGLUTINATION SEROLOGIC TEST FOR TRICHINOSIS

Journal of the American Medical Association, 1959
The complement-fixation test has been in routine use in the First U. S. Army Medical Laboratory for the diagnosis of trichinosis. On occasion the bentonite-flocculation test has also been performed. Recently we have developed an agglutination procedure with latex (polystyrene) particles which promises to be as specific and sensitive, but less laborious,

Latex slide agglutination test for aspergillus antibodies

Medical Mycology, 1970
A purified antigen prepared from the mycelia of Aspergillus fischeri was employed in a latex slide agglutination test for the detection of aspergillus antibodies in human sera. The antigen is apparently a galactomannan with a molecular weight of ≧ 100 000 and contains no detectable protein.

HIV-1 testing by latex agglutination

Clinical Microbiology Newsletter, 1990
Abstract We have described the first recombinant-based and the first rapid test for antibodies to HIV-1 licensed by the FDA. The LA formal offers several advantages over other test systems in that it is rapid, requires no expensive instrumentation, and performs with a high degree of sensitivity and specificity.

Evaluation of a latex agglutination test for amoebiasis

Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 1973
Abstract 138 sera from adult Europeans were tested with a commercially available latex agglutination test marketed in kit form under the trade name of Serameba. They were tested at the same time by the gel diffusion precipitin (GDP), fluorescent antibody (FAT) and indirect haemagglutination (IHA) tests.

Evaluation of a Latex Agglutination Test for Toxoplasmosis

The Journal of Parasitology, 1967
Four hundred ninety-seven human sera were examined for anti-toxoplasma antibody by latex agglutination (LA) and hemagglutination (HA). Sera from patients with heterophile titers were also tested by LA. Most discrepancies between HA and LA occurred with sera that had LA titers of 1:8 and 1:16.

Latex agglutination test for diagnosing cryptococcosis.

Journal of the Medical Association of Thailand = Chotmaihet thangphaet, 1992
Fourteen cases of systemic cryptococcosis were admitted to Siriraj Hospital during 1987 to 1989. These included 5 male and 9 female patients aged 4-65 years. The most significant manifestation was cryptococcal meningitis and systemic lupus erythematosus was the most common underlying disease. Culture test for C. neoformans was negative after 28 days of

Latex agglutination and adenoviruses. I. Detection of polyclonal antibodies by latex agglutination test.

Acta microbiologica Hungarica, 1994
A latex agglutination (LA) test was developed for the detection and measurement of polyclonal anti-adenovirus antibodies. Latex particles, coated with purified hexon, penton or fibre antigens displayed specific agglutination with 21 rabbit immune sera directed against the different antigens and the complete virus of 10 human and 2 animal adenovirus ...
