An experimental study of boundary-layer transition induced vibrations on a hydrofoil [PDF]
This paper aims at characterizing experimentally laminar to turbulent transition induced vibrations. Here, the transition is known to be triggered by a Laminar Separation Bubble that results from a laminar separation of the boundary-layer flow on a ...

Microtubule motors transport phagosomes in the RPE, and lack of KLC1 leads to AMD-like pathogenesis. [PDF]
The degradation of phagosomes, derived from the ingestion of photoreceptor outer segment (POS) disk membranes, is a major role of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). Here, POS phagosomes were observed to associate with myosin-7a, and then kinesin-1, as

SYM and COT were well tolerated in patients with hand dermatoses. SYM received better ratings regarding climate conditions, mobility and tactility, while COT showed superiority in fit, donning and doffing. The choice of material of glove liners may depend on occupation‐specific requirements for the performed tasks, individual needs and preferences. SYM

This study examined the association between 20‐year atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk and discordance among apolipoprotein B100 (apoB) and lipid biomarkers, using established thresholds. ApoB strongly correlated with LDL‐C and non‐HDL‐C, though concordance was limited.

Minimising feeding behaviour interference: A hay‐shaker device to assess dust exposure in horses
Abstract Background Organic dust from hay is a primary trigger of equine asthma. Objectives (1) To introduce a novel hay‐shaker (HS) device for standardised hay dust generation, enabling simultaneous measurements of various particulate matter (PM) size fractions.

Epidermal scale growth, allometry and function in non‐avian dinosaurs and extant reptiles
Scale shapes in non‐avian dinosaurs and extant reptiles are mostly retained through growth. However, positive scale allometry and proportional differences in scale breadth are also detected, which are likely associated with changing body proportions. Based on their generally conserved morphology and impracticality for visual display, the enlarged size ...

A Photometric Method for the Determination of Serum Titres by Latex Particle Agglutination [PDF]
A simple photometric method for the determination of latex particle agglutination in immunochemical systems is described This photometric latex test (PLT) allows the determination of serum titres by the numerical evaluation of measured turbidities.
