The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

O(N) Models with Topological Lattice Actions [PDF]
A variety of lattice discretisations of continuum actions has been considered, usually requiring the correct classical continuum limit. Here we discuss "weird" lattice formulations without that property, namely lattice actions that are invariant under ...

Vortex-lattice melting in a one-dimensional optical lattice
We investigate quantum fluctuations of a vortex lattice in a one-dimensional optical lattice. Our method gives full access to all the modes of the vortex lattice and we discuss in particular the Bloch bands of the Tkachenko modes.

This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Phase structure and chiral limit of compact lattice QED with Wilson fermions
We study the phase structure and chiral limit of $4d$ compact lattice QED with Wilson fermions (both dynamical and quenched). We use the standard Wilson action (WA) and also the modified action (MA) with some lattice artifacts suppressed.

This study uncovers a new switching mechanism in HfO2 and ZrO2, where the absence of a non‐polar layer along the a‐direction induces interaction between polar layers. Consequently, the switching barriers for growth are lower than those for nucleation in this direction, leading to a size‐dependent coercive field that matches experimental observations ...

Lattices of Annihilators in Commutative Algebras Over Fields
Let K be any field and L be any lattice. In this note we show that L is a sublattice of annihilators in an associative and commutative K-algebra. If L is finite, then our algebra will be finite dimensional over K.

Short-Range Correlations and Cooling of Ultracold Fermions in the Honeycomb Lattice
We use determinantal quantum Monte Carlo simulations and numerical linked-cluster expansions to study thermodynamic properties and short-range spin correlations of fermions in the honeycomb lattice.

Quantum Emitters in Hexagonal Boron Nitride: Principles, Engineering and Applications
Quantum emitters in hexagonal boron nitride have emerged as a promising candidate for quantum information science. This review examines the fundamentals of these quantum emitters, including their level structures, defect engineering, and their possible chemical structures.

The lowest Landau level in QCD
The thermodynamics of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) in external (electro-)magnetic fields shows some unexpected features like inverse magnetic catalysis, which have been revealed mainly through lattice studies.
