The Color--Flavor Transformation of induced QCD [PDF]
The Zirnbauer's color-flavor transformation is applied to the $U(N_c)$ lattice gauge model, in which the gauge theory is induced by a heavy chiral scalar field sitting on lattice sites. The flavor degrees of freedom can encompass several `generations' of

Linking Heat Treatment to Plastic Deformation in Pearlitic Steels Through Mesoscale Modeling
Surface wear on rail and wheel steels results from surface deformation during use. This research uses mathematical models to forecast the plastic behavior of pearlitic steels, connected to the microstructure formed during heat treatment. While the cooling rate impacts the steels’ strength, the size of prior austenite grains and blocks does not ...

Lattice regularisation of a non-compact boundary conformal field theory
Non-compact Conformal Field Theories (CFTs) are central to several aspects of string theory and condensed matter physics. They are characterised, in particular, by the appearance of a continuum of conformal dimensions.

Improving the Lattice QCD Hamiltonian
Improvement of the Hamiltonian in lattice gauge theory is considered. We give explicit expressions for classical improvement and discuss also quantum corrections.Comment: 3 pages, Latex.

The formate pseudo‐halide anion is strategically introduced at the buried interface to stabilize the intermediate phases formed during perovskite crystallization. The controlled crystallization enhances crystallinity and alleviates tensile strain, eliminating residual PbI2 near the buried interface.

Truncated conformal space approach in d dimensions: A cheap alternative to lattice field theory?
We show how to perform accurate, nonperturbative and controlled calculations in quantum field theory in d dimensions. We use the truncated conformal space approach, a Hamiltonian method which exploits the conformal structure of the UV fixed point.

Ward identities in $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric SU(3) Yang-Mills theory on the lattice
The introduction of a space-time lattice as a regulator of field theories breaks symmetries associated with continuous space-time, i.e.\ Poincar{\'e} invariance and supersymmetry.

In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

The ultraselective H2S detection of the ZIF‐L/SnS2 heterostructure is demonstrated. The introduction of 2‐dimensional (2D) breathable ZIF‐L results in a substantial increase in H2S selectivity attributable to the molecular sieving effect, which impedes the permeation of gases with large kinetic diameters and high polarity.
