N = 2* Yang-Mills on the Lattice

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
The N = 2* Yang-Mills theory in four dimensions is a non-conformal theory that appears as a mass deformation of maximally supersymmetric N = 4 Yang-Mills theory.

Technicolor and Lattice Gauge Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Technicolor and other theories of dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking invoke chiral symmetry breaking triggered by strong gauge-dynamics, analogous to that found in QCD, to explain the observed W, Z, and fermion masses. In this talk we describe why a

Making Photoresponsive Metal–Organic Frameworks an Effective Class of Heterogeneous Photocatalyst

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes photoresponsive MOFs for photocatalytic applications, focusing on their capacity to enhance light harvesting, charge transfer, and surface reactions. While existing studies provide foundational insights, emerging characterization techniques enable a deeper understanding of photoresponsive MOFs.

Ultra‐Effective Light‐Activated Antibacterial Activity via Carboxyl Functionalized Graphene Quantum Dots and Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Carboxyl‐functionalized graphene quantum dots (cGQDs) exhibit high singlet oxygen quantum yield due to strong spin–orbit coupling. cGQDs achieve minimum bactericidal concentration of only 0.4 µg mL−1 against S. aureus under low‐intensity illumination.

Towards overcoming the Monte Carlo sign problem with tensor networks

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
The study of lattice gauge theories with Monte Carlo simulations is hindered by the infamous sign problem that appears under certain circumstances, in particular at non-zero chemical potential.

Non-abelian lattice gauge theory with a topological action

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
SU(2) gauge theory is investigated with a lattice action which is insensitive to small perturbations of the lattice gauge fields. Bare perturbation theory can not be defined for such actions at all. We compare non-perturbative continuum results with that

Chiral Fermions and Anomalies on a Finite Lattice

open access: yes, 1992
A recent proposal by Kaplan for a chiral gauge theory on the lattice is tested with background gauge fields. The spectrum of the finite lattice Hamiltonian is calculated and the existence of a chiral fermion is demonstrated. Lattice doublers are found to

Highly Off‐Centering Cations in Pavonite‐Structured Ag1.75InSb5.75Se11 with Competitive Thermoelectric Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Off‐centering of cations in pavonite‐structured Ag1.75InSb5.75Se11 (AISS) breaks crystal symmetry, inducing Rashba‐like band splitting and high band degeneracy, thus enhancing Seebeck coefficients. Soft bonds between off‐centered cations and Se atoms increase phonon scattering, achieving low lattice thermal conductivity (0.22 W m−1K−1 at 723 K). Doping

Low energy spectrum of SU(2) lattice gauge theory

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
Prepotential formulation of gauge theories on honeycomb lattice yields local loop states, which are exact and orthonormal being free from any spurious loop degrees of freedom.
