Axial Anomaly in Lattice Abelian Gauge Theory in Arbitrary Dimensions [PDF]
Axial anomaly of lattice abelian gauge theory in hyper-cubic regular lattice in arbitrary even dimensions is investigated by applying the method of exterior differential calculus.

Truncation of lattice N = 4 super Yang-Mills
In twisted and orbifold formulations of lattice N = 4 super Yang-Mills, the gauge group is necessarily U(1) × SU(N), in order to be consistent with the exact scalar supersymmetry Q.

Dynamics of a lattice 2-group gauge theory model
We study a simple lattice model with local symmetry, whose construction is based on a crossed module of finite groups. Its dynamical degrees of freedom are associated both to links and faces of a four-dimensional lattice.

Abelian monopole and vortex condensation in lattice gauge theories [PDF]
We study Abelian monopole and vortex condensation in lattice pure gauge theories. Condensation is detected by means of a disorder parameter defined in terms of a gauge-invariant effective action introduced using the lattice Schr\"odinger functional. Dirac monopoles condense in the confined phase of U(1) lattice gauge theory.

Lattice Gauge Theory -- Present Status
Lattice gauge theory is our primary tool for the study of non-perturbative phenomena in hadronic physics. In addition to giving quantitative information on confinement, the approach is yielding first principles calculations of hadronic spectra and matrix

The fermion determinant and the chiral gauge theory on a lattice [PDF]
Considering as an example a simple lattice ansatz for the chiral fermion determinant, we demonstrate that even very mild violation of gauge invariance by the determinant at finite lattice spacing leads to the need for another scale in the full gauge ...

Excitations of static isolated fermions in the Higgs phase of gauge Higgs theory
A spectrum of localized excitations of isolated static fermions has been discovered in several different gauge Higgs theories. In lattice numerical simulations, we show that the charged elementary particles can have the spectrum of excitations in the ...

Lattice gauge theory model for graphene [PDF]
The effects of the electromagnetic (e.m.) electron-electron interactions in half-filled graphene are investigated in terms of a lattice gauge theory model. By using exact Renormalization Group methods and lattice Ward Identities, we show that the e.m. interactions amplify the responses to the excitonic pairings associated to a Kekul distortion and to

Previous work [SciPost Phys. 14, 129 (2023)2542-465310.21468/SciPostPhys.14.5.129] has demonstrated that quantum simulation of Abelian lattice gauge theories (Wegner models including the toric code in a limit) in general dimensions can be achieved by ...

Z_{N} lattice gauge theory in a ladder geometry
Under the perspective of realizing analog quantum simulations of lattice gauge theories, ladder geometries offer an intriguing playground, relevant for ultracold atom experiments. Here, we investigate Hamiltonian lattice gauge theories defined in two-leg
