Synthetic Active Liquid Crystals Powered by Acoustic Waves

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 19, May 12, 2025.
A fully synthetic active liquid crystal, energized by an acoustic field, is presented. This system exhibits active nematic behavior, tunable topological defect dynamics, and persistent hydrodynamic vortices at high activity levels. The material maintains stable properties while enabling precise activity control in a wide range.

Angular distribution toward the points of the neighbor‐flips modular curve seen by a fast moving observer

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, Volume 298, Issue 5, Page 1617-1632, May 2025.
Abstract Let h$h$ be a fixed non‐zero integer. For every t∈R+$t\in \mathbb {R}_+$ and every prime p$p$, consider the angles between rays from an observer located at the point (−tJp2,0)$(-tJ_p^2,0)$ on the real axis toward the set of all integral solutions (x,y)$(x,y)$ of the equation y−1−x−1≡hmodp$y^{-1}-x^{-1}\equiv h \left(\mathrm{ mod\;}p\right)$ in

Prime Filters in an MV-algebra [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
In this document we consider the prime spectrum of an MV-algebra with certain natural operations. These are used to show connections between the classes of prime lattice filters and prime implication filters.

Jacobian elliptic fibrations on K3s with a non‐symplectic automorphism of order 3

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, Volume 298, Issue 5, Page 1758-1788, May 2025.
Abstract Let X$X$ be a K3 surface admitting a non‐symplectic automorphism σ$\sigma$ of order 3. Building on work by Garbagnati and Salgado, we classify the Jacobian elliptic fibrations on X$X$ with respect to the action of σ$\sigma$ on their fibers. If the fiber class of a Jacobian elliptic fibration on NS(X)$\operatorname{NS}(X)$ is fixed by σ$\sigma$,

Entropic Repulsion and Local Order in Doubly Tethered Polymers on a Surface

open access: yesMacromolecular Theory and Simulations, Volume 34, Issue 3, May 2025.
The study examines the behavior of mobile doubly tethered polymers on a 2D substrate. It analyzes conformational properties and end‐monomer ordering, considering the director between end‐monomers for local ordering. As tethering density increases, a transition from mushroom‐like to upright structures is observed.

Quantum Algorithms for Quantum Molecular Systems: A Survey

open access: yesWIREs Computational Molecular Science, Volume 15, Issue 3, May/June 2025.
Quantum algorithms for quantum molecular systems: from molecular encoding, to Hamiltonian simulation, static properties, and quantum advantage. ABSTRACT Solving quantum molecular systems presents a significant challenge for classical computation. The advent of early fault‐tolerant quantum computing devices offers a promising avenue to address these ...

Implicative-orthomodular lattices [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Based on implicative involutive BE algebras, we redefine the orthomodular lattices, by introducing the notion of implicative-orthomodular lattices, and we study their properties. We characterize these algebras, proving that the implicative-orthomodular lattices are quantum-Wajsberg algebras.
