After-birth abortion in the context of natural law

open access: yesJournal of Modern Science, 2018
Man is a purpose within himself regardless of in which phase of development there is his life. This purpose has been given to him in the act of creation and will be realized by him according to the natural law.

Self-organization of structures and networks from merging and small-scale fluctuations

open access: yes, 2004
We discuss merging-and-creation as a self-organizing process for scale-free topologies in networks. Three power-law classes characterized by the power-law exponents 3/2, 2 and 5/2 are identified and the process is generalized to networks.

Multimodal Mechanical Testing of Additively Manufactured Ti6Al4V Lattice Structures: Compression, Bending, and Fatigue

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this experimental study, the mechanical properties of additively manufactured Ti‐6Al‐4V lattice structures of different geometries are characterized using compression, four point bending and fatigue testing. While TPMS designs show superior fatigue resistance, SplitP and Honeycomb lattice structures combine high stiffness and strength. The resulting

Catalan Law in the European Context [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Legal Information, 2014
This paper provides an overview of the Catalan law at the European context. How the Catalan institutions can tackle on the Spanish Government policies and decisions in front of the European Union. And how the European Union Law and policies are implemented in a decentralized country such Spain where Autonomous Communities have their own Governments and

Resistance Rapid Heating of Aluminum Coatings in an Extreme High Vacuum–Adequate Atmosphere for Hot Stamping

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The subject of this work is the development of a corrosion‐protective coating on steel sheets for form hardening. Rapid heating in an extreme high vacuum (XHV)‐adequate atmosphere is a useful method to prevent oxidation during alloying of 22MnB5 and aluminum to obtain a metallurgical bonding.

Science of Law in Context of Globalization

open access: yesEIRP Proceedings, 2015
The concept of globalization must not only know and known but rather understand as be a very used term which can be attributed many meanings. Through this term can understand the development of global financial markets, increased of transnational ...

Buried Treasure: some lesser-known items in the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
Preprint of an article written in 1992 by Paul Norman (then Senior Assistant Librarian at IALS) describing some rare and lesser-known works in the Roman law, Roman-Dutch law and English law collections of IALS Library.

Modeling long-range memory with stationary Markovian processes

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper we give explicit examples of power-law correlated stationary Markovian processes y(t) where the stationary pdf shows tails which are gaussian or exponential. These processes are obtained by simply performing a coordinate transformation of a

Rafting of Ni‐Based Superalloys Under Multiaxial Load as Understood by Phase‐Field Simulations and Critical Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.
