Iran’s Approach to the General Principles of Law in the International Law Commission [PDF]

open access: yesFaṣlnāmah-i Pizhūhish-i Huqūq-i ̒Umūmī
Introduction As outlined in the Statute of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the principles of law are directly invoked as a main source of international law for addressing legal disputes.

Generalized Atomic Mass Law [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review, 1959
Least-squares analyses have been performed on a set of atomic masses using standard and generalized semiempirical mass laws. Presumably because of errors in the assumed form of the standard mass law, its least-squares coefficients can be determined at best to an accuracy of about 10%, and masses are predicted with an uncertainty of several Mev/c^2. The

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

A Simplified Laminar Flow Model for the Pultrusion of Glass Fiber/Polyethylene Terephthalate Commingled Yarns

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Legal Punishment Problems in General Theory of Law

open access: yesJournal of Danubian Studies and Research, 2021
The institution of legal punishment represents the institution that is emphasized in the article below. We have succeeded in making the comparison between the essence of notions such as: legal responsibility, legal sanction and that of legal punishment.

Rafting of Ni‐Based Superalloys Under Multiaxial Load as Understood by Phase‐Field Simulations and Critical Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.
