Fluorine‐free microporous layers (MPLs) are optimized for hydrocarbon‐based proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) using vapor‐grown carbon fibers (VGCF), carbon black (CB), and a silane treatment. The effects of MPL composition on wetting behavior, permeability, electrical resistance, and electrochemical performance are investigated ...

Substrate‐Controlled Response Coefficients in Thin Films
Many material‐specific coefficients, which relate external stimuli and functional responses, are constants governed by atomic vibrations. This work demonstrates the concept of controlling such response coefficients by deformations, or strain, through strain‐induced changes in atomic vibrations.

High‐fidelity Nanopore sequencing offers a cost‐effective, portable path to uncovering viral dark matter in complex environments—but suffers from severe read‐length bias, low throughput, and limited accuracy. This study traces these limitations to core biochemical barriers and introduces CLAE, a foundational high‐fidelity platform that enables accurate,

A porous cobalt‐based metal‐oxide foam catalyst is synthesized using the DHBT technique, followed by calcination. It demonstrates exceptional activity for e‐NO3RR, reaching near‐unity ammonia selectivity at low overpotentials. Dynamic surface area changes due to NO3‐ depletion are mitigated by “self‐convection” during hydrogen evolution.
