ABSTRACT This paper presents a quantitative assessment of Spanish companies' commitment to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Analyzing over 1000 participating firms, we identify prioritization patterns and examine structural factors influencing SDG adherence.

General One-Sided Laws of the Iterated Logarithm
Let $\{X_i\}$ be a sequence of independent, identically distributed nondegenerate random variables and $S_n = \sum^n_{i = 1}X_i$. We consider the question for various centering sequences $\{\alpha_n\}$: when is it possible to find a positive, monotone sequence $\{\beta_n\}$ such that $\lim \sup \beta^{-1}_n (S_n - \alpha_n) = c$ a.s., $c$ a finite ...

ABSTRACT The extant carbon neutrality (CN) literature largely offers macro‐ or meso‐level analyses, providing limited insights into implementation experiences that could inform granular policymaking and industry strategies. To address this gap, we examine the lived CN experiences of firms in the transportation, energy, manufacturing, and construction ...

Study on fracture parameter calibration and failure characteristics of rock with hole and crack
The SIF and plastic zone equations for a single hole and crack have been derived. The model's failure state leads to the identification of four types of cracks. The plastic zone increases with increased brittleness and decreased crack length. Abstract Cracks within the surrounding rock of roadways significantly affect their stability and failure ...

Abstract The artificial intelligence (AI) revolution is upon us. It will inevitably form a central component of epilepsy workflows and patient advocacy. Therefore, it behooves us as health care providers to ride the crest of this wave and guide its direction for the benefit of all people with epilepsy.

On the Multivariate Law of the Iterated Logarithm
A Hilbert space law of the iterated logarithm is proved which generalizes Kolmogorov's law for bounded random variables and which generalizes results of Teicher for unbounded random variables. The result for identically distributed random vectors is a consequence.

Finite Element Modeling of a Thermoplastic Polyurethane Ball for Rolling Seismic Isolation
ABSTRACT The Elastomeric‐Ball Pendulum (EBP) system, which consists of an elastomeric ball rolling on a spherical concrete surface, has been proposed as an isolation system for lightweight structures. Experimental tests have shown that the mechanics of such a rolling ball are remarkably complicated because the vertical load changes the shape of the ...
