Toward Pore‐Engineered 3D‐Printed Materials for Sorption Water Harvesting, Interfacial Evaporation, and Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Water harvesting, radiative cooling, and interfacial solar evaporation are fundamentally governed by coupled heat, mass, and light transport processes. These processes are mediated by pore architecture, including pore size, connectivity, and hierarchical organization.

Descriptors to Dynamics: A Materials and Device Perspective on in‐Materio Physical Reservoir Computing for Neuromorphic Edge Intelligence

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Intrinsic material dynamics are harnessed as computational resources for neuromorphic in‐materio physical reservoir computing. Defects, ionic motion, interfaces, percolation, geometry, and biasing shape transient states that provide fading memory, nonlinearity, and high‐dimensional projection for simple readout. A descriptor‐to‐dynamics framework links

Computation‐Less, Bias‐Free, and Ultra‐Broadband Photodetector for On‐Chip Edge Extraction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A computation‐less, bias‐free, and ultra‐broadband photodetector directly converts local optical‐intensity gradients into signed photocurrents through a position‐dependent bi‐directional photoresponse. This intrinsic physical sensing mechanism enables single‐pixel edge extraction from the near‐infrared to the long‐wave infrared at room temperature ...

Inductively Expandable Supraparticles as Microscopic Force Generators for Remote Mechanical Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the combination of magnetic nanoparticles and functional blowing agents into supraparticles. Upon induction heating, they actuate via rapid gas generation or extensive volume expansion. These supraparticles lift up to 25 000 times their own mass and rapidly open cured epoxy resins, providing a versatile strategy for fast micron ...

3D Nanorod‐Shaped Binder‐Free Ni1−xFexCo2O4 Anodes Demonstrate High Performance and Stable Operation Under Accelerated Stress Tests in Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
3D shaping of Ni1‐xFexCo2O4 spinel electrocatalyst to form high aspect ratio nanorods, made of 25 nm grain size particles and directly grown on Nickel felt, is proposed to improve the performance of industrial catalysts based on group‐VIII transition‐metal oxides.

Band Alignment of Grafted Si/Ge0.89Sn0.11 Heterojunction Determined by X‐Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We investigate the band alignment of a monocrystalline grafted p‐type Si/Ge0.89Sn0.11 heterostructure using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The bandgap of the Ge0.89Sn0.11 epilayer of 0.50 eV was first determined and cross‐verified using photoluminescence spectroscopy, infrared transmission, and theoretical calculation.
