New Neumann System Associated with a 3 × 3 Matrix Spectral Problem

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2014
The nonlinearization approach of Lax pair is applied to the case of the Neumann constraint associated with a 3 × 3 matrix spectral problem, from which a new Neumann system is deduced and proved to be completely integrable in the Liouville sense.

Revision ACL reconstruction using a modified iliotibial band–allograft technique for combined ACL and lateral extra‐articular procedure achieves comparable outcomes to bone–patellar tendon–bone with modified Lemaire

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose In revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (R‐ACLR), adding a lateral extra‐articular procedure (LEAP) reduces graft failure and postoperative laxity. Iliotibial band (ITB)‐based techniques may avoid patellar tendon harvesting morbidity, but evidence in adults, particularly in revision cases, remains limited.

ANALYSIS OF NONLINEAR EQUATIONS IN PRIVATE DERIVATIVES ASSOCIATED WITH THE THIRD-ORDER SCATTERING OPERATOR

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений. Поволжский регион: Физико-математические науки, 2020
Background. A plurality of nonlinear equations in partial derivatives having a Lax pair are either exactly integrable or equations that allow rich classes of exact solutions.

Some distributional solutions of the CH, DP and CH2 equations and the Lax pair formalism [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This dissertation deals with a class of nonlinear wave equations of the type discovered by R. Camassa and D. D. Holm which includes the Camassa-Holm, the Degasperis-Procesi, and the two component Camassa-Holm equations.

A Note on Lax Pairs of the Sawada-Kotera Equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We prove that the new Lax pair of the Sawada-Kotera equation, discovered recently by Hickman, Hereman, Larue, and Göktaş, and the well-known old Lax pair of this equation, considered in the form of zero-curvature representations, are gauge equivalent to ...

Defining sagittal knee phenotypes via monopedal static anterior tibial translation. Part 1: Translating weight‐bearing sagittal position into clinical risk profiles

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Static anterior tibial translation (sATT) is a reproducible monopodal weight‐bearing radiographic parameter that reflects the resting sagittal position of the tibiofemoral joint. Distinct from manual laxity tests that quantify passive displacement limits, sATT captures the functional equilibrium of the tibia under physiological load ...

Lax representation of Riemann ellipsoids

open access: yes, 1993
The fluid dynamical equations of motion for rotating Riemann ellipsoids are presented as a Lax equation, X = [F, X]. Riemann ellipsoids model rotating galaxies, stars, and atomic nuclei. The elements of the Lax pair X-F are matrices in the symplectic Lie

Tissue Micro‐Coring Is a Safe and Effective Option for the Treatment of the Nasolabial Fold, Marionette, and Perioral Rhytids

open access: yesLasers in Surgery and Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Non‐surgical treatment of the aging lower face remains a therapeutic challenge. Tissue Micro‐Coring Technology (MCT) is a novel technology that permits the non‐surgical removal of skin as micro‐cores, tightening skin and inducing collagen and elastin.

Modulation Instability, Breathers, and Bound Solitons in an Erbium-Doped Fiber System with Higher-Order Effects

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We mainly investigate the generalized nonlinear Schrödinger-Maxwell-Bloch system which governs the propagation of optical solitons in nonlinear erbium-doped fibers with higher-order effects.

A symmetric differential-difference Lax Pair for the sixth Painleve equation

open access: yes, 2017
We present a Lax pair for the sixth Painleve equation arising as a continuous isomonodromic deformation of a system of linear difference equations with an additional symmetry structure. We call this a symmetric difference-differential Lax pair.
