Mesoscale variability in the summer Arctic boundary layer
Observations from the summer Arctic Ocean Experiment 2001 (AOE-2001) are analysed with a focus on the interactions between mesoscale and boundary-layer dynamics.

Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

An experimental analysis of carrier layer flows [PDF]
This thesis is concerned with flows relating to the continuous coating of multiple layers on moving webs using the slide bead process. The lowermost layer is generally known as a carrier layer when the viscosity and flow rate are both small compared with

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

A smear layer endodonciai vonatkozásai
Diploma dolgozatomban ismertetem a smear layer endodonciai vonatkozásait. Kitérek a dentin tubulusokra és azok jelentőségére. A gyökércsatornákban jelen levő baktériumok ismertetésre kerülnek és a biofilm szerepéről is szó esik.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

An improved turbulent boundary layer inflow condition, applied to the simulation of jets in cross-flow [PDF]
The jet acting perpendicular to a cross-flow boundary layer is a commonly studied complex turbulent flow. Our research was motivated by their potential application in separation delay devices, where jets can be used to produce streamwise vortices in a ...
