Distribution of Endogenous Viruses in Some Commercial Chicken Layer Populations
The distribution of endogenous virus (ev) genes was studied in five commercial layer lines; four were brown-egg types and one was White Leghorn. The DNA samples were obtained from nine birds of each line and digested with SacI and BamHI endonucleases. The DNA fragments were separated by gel electrophoresis, and Southern blots were prepared and examined

High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Immunoprophylaxis against salmonella in commercial layer chickens
Salmonellosis is one of the most common foodborne bacterial diseases globally. Salmonella does not commonly cause disease in poultry; however they are important reservoirs of Salmonella in the human food chain and management is critical. Attenuated or inactivated Salmonella vaccines have had variable impact upon colonisation.

Transfer of Energy and Momentum Between Magnetoactive Surface Microstructure and a Solid Object
We demonstrate that magnetoactive multilamellar arrays subjected to a rotating magnetic field can function as platforms for controlled transport of physical objects. Through systematic experimental investigation, we elucidate the underlying physical mechanisms determining the upper limit of the achievable transportation speed in such magnetic “conveyor‐

Inflammatory Response‐Inspired Thermochromic Shield for Pneumatic Structures
A thermochromic shield for pneumatic structures is developed, using anhydrous sodium acetate powder and thermochromic pigment‐included solution. In this shield composed of three layers, the exothermic and thermochromic reactions, followed by the mixture of both components, occur promptly with an incident of penetrating damage as a sign of initial ...
