IOT Based Automated Poultry Farm for Layer Chicken

2021 7th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Systems (ICACCS), 2021
The vast majority of the poultry barns in India are physically checked and administered. Temperature, air quality, dampness, illumination, oxygenating the barn and food intake by the chicken are the significant elements that should have been checked and controlled. These variables are straightforwardly identified with the poultry creation.

Amputation of Polymelia in a Layer Chicken

Avian Diseases, 2014

Spontaneous aortic arteriosclerosis in layer chickens

Journal of Comparative Pathology, 1994
Aortas of 21 grower chickens (both sexes) aged 30-130 days and of 51 layer hens aged 500 days were examined histopathologically. Aortic sclerotic lesions were classified histopathologically into six stages. As early as 30 days, the abdominal aortas of growers had cellular-fibrous plaques that became more severe with advancing age.

Sex selection in layer chickens

Animal Production Science, 2017
The ability to detect and remove male chicks pre-hatch would be a big step forward to the egg-laying and related industries. The current practice of culling male chicks post-hatch creates a major ethical dilemma for many countries. Hatching out and growing male layer chicks is not a sustainable option for farmers.

Phosphoproteins of the chicken eggshell calcified layer

PROTEOMICS, 2007
AbstractThe chicken eggshell matrix is a complex mixture of proteins and proteoglycans. It also contains phosphoproteins that are thought to affect mineralization of the matrix. Several of the matrix phosphoproteins, such as the major component osteopontin, have already been identified as phosphoproteins in other tissues, but the phosphorylation status

Hyperandrogenism in broiler chickens and commercial layers

Veterinary Record, 2008
IT has been observed that an androgenic effect can be induced in broiler chickens by supplementing their diet with finely ground wood shavings from the African tree Funtumia latifolia ([Smith and Wells 1978][1]).
