Defluoridation of groundwater by calcined Mg/Al layered double hydroxide
The present study evaluated calcined Mg/Al layered double hydroxide (CLDH) availability for the removal of fluoride from local groundwaters. The Mg/Al layered double hydroxide (LDH) was synthesized by co-precipitation method and characterized by XRD, FT ...

Variation of anions in layered double hydroxides: Effects on dispersion and fire properties [PDF]
Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are interesting materials for nanocomposite formation because one can vary the identity of the metals, the anions and the stoichiometry to see the effect of these on the ability of the nano-material to disperse in a ...

Nomenclature of the hydrotalcite supergroup: Natural layered double hydroxides [PDF]
Layered double hydroxide (LDH) compounds are characterized by structures in which layers with a brucite-like structure carry a net positive charge, usually due to the partial substitution of trivalent octahedrally coordinated cations for divalent cations,

From Single Atoms to Nanoparticles: Pathways Toward Efficient and Durable Pt/TiO2 Photocatalysts
Platinum single atoms on TiO2 nanosheets evolve into clusters and nanoparticles under ethanol photoreforming and thermal treatments. By controlling deposition and post‐treatments, particle size and location on specific facets are modulated. The study reveals how stability pathways determine efficiency, guiding the design of more durable photocatalysts.

Structure - property relationships of new polystyrene nanocomposites prepared from initiator-containing layered double hydroxides of zinc aluminum and magnesium aluminum [PDF]
Polystyrene/layered double hydroxides (PS/LDHs) nanocomposites were prepared by free radical polymerization of styrene monomer in the presence of LDHs intercalated with 4,4′-azobis(4-cyanopentanoate) anions (LDH–ACPA).

Polypropylene/layered double hydroxide nanocomposites
We report a novel synthesis method for the preparation of polypropylene/layered double hydroxide (PP/LDH) nanocomposites, in which LDH nanosheets, [Mg2Al(OH)6](DDS)·2H2O (Mg–Al–DDS), were prepared using a one-step reverse microemulsion method. PP/LDH nanocomposites were prepared by direct mixing of the obtained LDH nanosheets with PP in xylene at 140 ...
