The Diversity of Layered Halide Perovskites

Annual Review of Materials Research, 2018
The two-dimensional congeners of the well-known three-dimensional perovskites display new properties enabled by their reduced dimensionality. Here, organic molecules separate inorganic sheets, affording the properties of both discrete molecules and extended solids in single, well-defined materials.

Layered perovskites as ‘soft-ceramics’

Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 1999
Abstract The layered perovskite KCa 2 Nb 3 O 10 is shown to possess large elastic and fracture anisotropies which are explained on the basis of its structure. Its fracture toughness was measured relative to the in-basal and basal-normal directions. Combined with previously determined elastic moduli, the fracture energy release rates and associated ...

Synergistically modifying electron transport layers and bottom buried perovskite layers of perovskite solar cells

Journal of Materials Chemistry C, 2023
The electron transport layer (ETL) and its adjacent interface are essentially important for perovskite solar cells (PSCs).

Perovskite layers make the grade

Science, 2018
Solar Cells Inverted planar perovskite solar cells offer opportunities for a simplified device structure compared with conventional mesoporous titanium oxide interlayers. However, their lower open-circuit voltages result in lower power conversion efficiencies.

Diffuse scattering in the layered perovskites

Zeitschrift für Kristallographie, 2005
Abstract Single-crystal X-ray and neutron diffuse scattering techniques have been used to probe a variety of short-range displacive and magnetic orderings in the layered transition-metal perovskites which arise due to the intimate coupling of their structural, electronic and magnetic degrees of freedom.

Noncuprate Layered Perovskite Superconductor

1997
All the high-T c oxide superconductors (HTSC) known to date are copper-based oxides (cuprates) in the layered perovskite crystal structures that contain a planar network of copper and oxygen (CuO2 planes). Without doubt such a planner network provides the essential environment for the occurrence of high T c.

Multifunctional MgO Layer in Perovskite Solar Cells

ChemPhysChem, 2015
AbstractA multifunctional magnesium oxide (MgO) layer was successfully introduced into perovskite solar cells (PSCs) to enhance their performance. MgO was coated onto the surface of mesoporous TiO2 by the decomposition of magnesium acetate and, therefore, could block contact between the perovskite and TiO2. X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and infrared

The layer perovskites as thermal energy storage systems

Solar Energy, 1980
Abstract A series of compounds of the general formula ( n -C n H 2 n +1 NH 3 ) 2 MCl 4 (where M is a divalent metal atom and 8 ⩽ n ⩽ 18) undergoing high enthalpy reversible solid-solid phase transitions is considered. Although their transition enthalpy values are lower than those of the corresponding normal paraffins, the advantage of remaining ...

Superconductivity of Layered Perovskite Sr2RuO4

1996
The first layered perovskite superconductor without copper has recently been found. It is Sr2Ru04 in the K2NiF4 structure with 7C ≈ 1 K. Studies with high-quality single crystals revealed highly anisotropic Fermiliquid behavior, as well as large anisotropy in the superconducting parameters.
