Preparation of some intercalation compounds of layered γ-zirconium phosphate and zirconium phosphate-phosphite

Solid State Ionics, 1991
Abstract Intercalation chemistry of layered zirconium phosphates is of interest for a better knowledge of their protonic conductivity. Intercalation compounds of γ-zirconium phosphate with some alkanols, n -alkylmonoamines and benzylamine have been prepared and characterized for their X-ray powder diffraction patterns, IR spectra and TG-DTA analyses.

Soft chemical properties of layered zirconium hydroxy phosphate

Solid State Ionics, 2004
AbstractSoft chemical properties such as ion-exchangeability and intercalation property of a layered zirconium hydroxy phosphate,(NH 4 ) 2 (H 3 NC 2 H 4 NH 3 ) 2 [Zr 3 (OH) 6 (PO 4 ) 4 ], were examined. The ion-exchangeability was investigated by using solutions including H + ,Li + ,K,Ag,Ca 2+ ,Ni 2+ ,Cu,Zn 2+ ,Cd and Pb ion.

Intercalation of insulating polymers into layered zirconium phosphates

Materials Chemistry and Physics, 1993
Abstract The ability of layered α- and γ-zirconium phosphates to intercalate directly some insulating oligomers (PEG 300 Da, PEG 600 Da) or polymers (PEO 2 × 10 5 Da, PEO 6 × 10 5 Da, PEI 2 × 10 5 Da) has been investigated. The intercalation was obtained by various synthetic strategies: the zirconium phosphates, pre-swelled with ethanol or butanol,

Preparation of layered zirconium phosphonate/phosphate, zirconium phosphonate/phosphite and related compounds

Materials Chemistry and Physics, 1993
Abstract The preparation and characterization of a number of layered zirconium compounds containing inorganic phosphorus groups as well as organic phosphonate groups are described. Thermal decomposition of ZrF62− in the presence of mixed phosphoric and phenylphosphonic acids leads to formation of a staged compound in which the organic and inorganic ...

Layered Inorganic Materials as Redox Agents:  Ferrocenium-Intercalated Zirconium Phosphate

Langmuir, 2007
The direct intercalation reaction of ferrocene (bis(eta5-cyclopentadienyl)iron(II), Fc) with a highly hydrated layered zirconium phosphate (ZrP) resulted in the formation of the ferrocenium ion (Fc+) within the ZrP material. The Fc+-intercalated ZrP material has an interlayer distance of 10.7 A.

α-Zirconium phosphate-based nanoarchitectures on polyester fabrics through layer-by-layer assembly

Journal of Materials Chemistry, 2011
α-Zirconium phosphate nanoplatelets have been alternatively combined with a cationic polyelectrolyte (polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride), a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane or with alumina-coated silica nanoparticles, exploiting the layer-by-layer deposition.

Preparation of luminescent layered zirconium phosphate nanocomposites by the layer-by-layer technique

Optical Materials, 2016
Abstract In the present work, photoactive cation N, N′-Dimenthyl-9, 9’-bisacridinium nitrate (BNMA) was assembled with exfoliated layered α-zirconium phosphate (α-ZrP) via an electrostatic layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly method. As a result, the luminescent films which were well-aligned and periodical had been successfully fabricated. Surprisingly, the

Intercalation of Glucosamine and Chitosan into Layered Zirconium Phosphates

Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 2006
Abstract Glucosamine was directly intercalated into γ-zirconium phosphate (γ-ZrP). The intercalation compound with a monolayer structure was obtained by the interaction between the 2-amino group of glucopyranose and the phosphate group in γ-ZrP.
