Novel Functional Materials via 3D Printing by Vat Photopolymerization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This Perspective systematically analyzes strategies for incorporating functionalities into 3D‐printed materials via Vat Photopolymerization (VP). It explores the spectrum of achievable functionalities in recently reported novel materials—such as conductive, energy‐storing, biodegradable, stimuli‐responsive, self‐healing, shape‐memory, biomaterials, and

DP and DS-LCD: A New Lane Change Decision Model Coupling Driver’s Psychology and Driving Style

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Lane-Changing Decision (LCD) behavior is complex, dangerous, and varied by the Driver’s Psychology (DP) and Driving Style (DS). For lacking the consideration of DP and DS, the existing LCD models cannot predict the LCD process varying with the ...

Electro‐Stimulated Graphene‐Polymer Nanocomposites Enable Wearable Patches With Feedback‐Controlled Drug Release

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
xx xx. ABSTRACT Stimuli‐responsive nanomaterials capable of spatiotemporal control over drug release are of nanocomposite patch (“e‐Medi‐Patch”) engineered from biodegradable polycaprolactone (PCL), graphene nanoplatelets, and a redox‐active therapeutic, niclosamide. The hierarchical composite integrates π‐π interactions between aromatic drug molecules

PiP‐Plex: A Particle‐in‐Particle System for Multiplexed Quantification of Proteins Secreted by Single Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Detecting proteins secreted by a single cell while retaining its viability remains challenging. A particles‐in‐particle (PiPs) system made by co‐encapsulating barcoded microparticles (BMPs) with a single cell inside an alginate hydrogel particle is introduced.

Standard Solar models in the Light of New Helioseismic Constraints II. Mixing Below the Convective Zone [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
In previous work, we have shown that recent updated standard solar models cannot reproduce the radial profile of the sound speed at the base of the convective zone (CZ) and fail to predict the Li7 depletion.

Remorphable Architectures: Reprogramming Global Bistability through Locally Bistable Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Local bistable reconfiguration in mechanical metamaterials is leveraged in globally bistable architectures to enable in situ reprogrammable transition pathways through state flip of individual building blocks. The local‐to‐global correspondence of instabilities empowers soft robotic systems with on‐demand morphing traits, as well as aerospace ...

Ionic Liquid‐Enhanced 3D Printed Flexible Resin for Pressure‐Sensing Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed resin–ionic liquid (IL) composite forms gyroid ionotronic architectures showing dynamic ionic migration under compression. Impedance analysis reveals distinct frequency responses across three topologies at high IL concentrations.
