Indole‐Based π‐Extended Monophosphine Ligands for Enhanced Palladium‐Catalyzed Sonogashira Coupling
A general palladium‐catalyzed Sonogashira cross‐coupling of (hetero)aryl chlorides with aliphatic, (hetero)aryl alkynes is described using Pd(dba)₂/PCy2‐Napdole‐phos catalyst system. The reaction protocol exhibits broad substrate scope and the catalyst loading can be down to 0.2 mol% Pd.

ABSTRACT In modern manufacturing environments, traditional statistical process control (SPC) methods often struggle with complex, dynamic data patterns, particularly when observations are autocorrelated. Control charts are useful tools used in SPC to detect any significant drift in a process.

Influence of LCL Output Filter Parameter Changing on D-STATCOM Compensation Characteristics
Aim at the problem of D-STATCOM output containing plenty of switching ripple, LCL filter was designed. Influence of LCL filter parameters on the compensation characteristic of D-STATCOM was studied. Considering the compensation capacity of the D-STATCOM,

UAVs unveil the role of small scale vegetation structure on wader nest survival
In this study, we combine high‐resolution vegetation structural metrics derived from unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) imagery with on‐field wader nest survival monitoring. We show that the immediate vegetation height and heterogeneity within a 2‐meter buffer surrounding the clutch of the recorded ground‐nesting wader species positively influenced its ...

Active damping techniques for LCL-filtered inverters-based microgrids [PDF]
LCL-type filters are widely used in grid-connected voltage source inverters, since it provides switching ripples reduction with lower cost and weight than the L-type counterpart. However, the inclusion of LCL-filters in voltage source inverters complicates the current control design regarding system stability issues; because an inherent resonance peak ...

Seed dormancy explains plant response to mass mortality events
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Mass mortality events (MMEs) are large‐scale, rapid die‐offs resulting in extreme inputs of carrion biomass. Recent work demonstrates the effects of increasing carrion biomass on plant communities modulated by vertebrate scavengers and herbivores.

Differential and Common-Mode Model-Based Controller for a Grid-Tied Three-Phase NPC Converter
This paper introduces a controller designed for transformerless inverters connected to the grid via an inductor-capacitor-inductor (LCL) output filter. The controller incorporates a virtual ground (VG) connection, providing a straightforward solution to ...

Hobbyist preferences for pet freshwater turtles
Abstract The burgeoning pet trade is a primary threat to wild freshwater turtles worldwide. Although the risks from commercial exploitation of turtles have been discussed widely, there is little empirical research on preferences for pet turtles from a hobbyists’ perspective.
