V okviru diplomskega dela se je izvedla katalitična piroliza LDPE – polietilena nizke gostote – v eksperimentalnem šaržnem reaktorju, v šaržah po 100 g. Izvedene so bile tri meritve brez dodatka katalizatorja, tri meritve z dodatkom 5 g katalizatorja in tri meritve z dodatkom 10 g katalizatorja. Kot katalizator se je uporabljal zeolit ZAP USY.

ABSTRACT Maleic anhydride (MAH) grafting modification is an effective approach to enhance the insulating performance of polyethylene (PE) cable insulations. However, the high polarity of MAH often causes considerable dielectric loss, making it unsuitable for AC systems.

Advanced architectural descriptors in foams: novel 3D computational methods [PDF]
This work presents 3D computational strategies aimed at providing foam de-structuration of the basic components of a cellular material (struts and cell walls) offering the possibility of analysing separately the structural elements that play an important

What's in the Bin? A Waste Audit of an Australian Tertiary Ear, Nose and Throat Outpatient Clinic
ABSTRACT Background Healthcare contributes 4.4% of global emissions. Climate change contributes to vector‐borne diseases, food insecurity and morbidity and mortality associated with extreme weather. Ear, nose and throat (ENT) outpatient clinics are particularly resource intensive, yet their environmental impact has not been quantified.

Flexo‐printable glucomannan‐based biofilm
Abstract Biofilms were synthesised from glucomannan and xylan. The ratio of glucomannan: xylan varied from 90:10 (g/g) to 70:30 (g/g). Nanofibrillated cellulose was added to enhance the mechanical properties of the biofilms. In another approach, glucomannan/xylan suspensions were crosslinked with tartaric acid (TA) or citric acid (CA).

Microplastic Impacts on Seafood: A Global Synthesis of Experimental Findings
ABSTRACT Plastic pollution is a growing global concern, with plastic and microplastic particles now widespread in aquatic environments. Microplastics are frequently ingested by marine organisms, including commercially important seafood species. Ingestion can lead to a range of biological effects, influenced by the size, type and quantity of plastic, as

Inclusion of graphene on LDPE properties.
The spread of graphene in low-density polyethylene (LDPE) improves LDPE/graphene nanocompounds' thermal/mechanical/electrical characteristics. The images of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) verify full graphene exfoliation at 1000 °C. Inclusion graphene develops crystallinity; increases the local order of lattice and thermal stability of LDPE ...
