Melt Rheology of LDPE and Glass Bead Filled LDPE Composite
Journal of Reinforced Plastics and Composites, 1999The effects of shear rates and temperatures on the melt shear viscosity (17w) and the relationship between the first normal stress difference (NI) and the wall shear stress (Tr,,) of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and glass bead filled LDPE composite, over a temperature range from 130 to 1 70'C and shear rates varied from 100 to I

Space charge behavior near LDPE/LDPE interface
2000 Annual Report Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena (Cat. No.00CH37132), 2005We investigated the space charge behavior near the interface between different low-density polyethylene (LDPE). Charge carriers were mainly injected from the semiconductive electrode in a specimen of Al/LDPE/LDPE/semiconductive layer and they moved through the interface to the counter Al electrode.

Improving the properties of LDPE/glass fiber composites with silanized‐LDPE
Polymer Composites, 2008AbstractLow density polyethylene (LDPE) is a widely used thermoplastic. The dispersion of inorganic fillers in thermoplastic matrices such as polyethylene has been largely employed to improve some of its properties. However, interaction between both components is a major issue so the presence of a coupling agent is usually necessary to increase the ...

Rheological and Thermal Properties of Blends of Recycled LDPE and Virgin LDPE
Advanced Materials Research, 2013Blends of recycled LDPE and LDPE were prepared by the twin-screw extruder at different ratios. Recycled LDPE was used as matrix in this work, LDPE was used to improve the properties of RLDPE. Thermal and rheological properties of the blends were carefully evaluated and compared with pure LDPE.

Blends of LDPE/chitosan using epoxy‐functionalized LDPE as compatibilizer
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2011AbstractLDPE and chitosan blends were prepared using an epoxy‐functionalized polyethylene as compatibilizing agent for improving interfacial adhesion. Compatibilization improved both tensile and flexural properties (with values approaching close to that of neat LDPE) when compared with that of uncompatibilized blends.

Oxidation of LDPE and LDPE grafted with itaconic acid, in contact with water
Polymer, 2000Abstract The accumulation of carboxyl groups in low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and LDPE grafted with itaconic acid on the macromolecules kept in hot water, aqueous electrolytic solutions, ethyl and isobutyl alcohols have been investigated. Simultaneously, a photo-initiated oxidation by UV-radiation has also been studied.

Effects of LDPE/nanofilled LDPE interface on space charge formation
2013 IEEE International Conference on Solid Dielectrics (ICSD), 2013Space charge characteristics of double-layer dielectric, which consists of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and nano-titania filled LDPE (named TiO2-LDPE), have been tested by pulsed electro acoustic (PEA) method under different high voltage direct current (HVDC) electric fields.

Influence of the Particle Size of LDPE on the Performance of Cu/LDPE Composites
Advanced Materials Research, 2013The Cu/LDPE composites were characterized through the tests of micro-structure, mechanical property, surface hydrophilicity and releasing rate of cupric ions, in order to study the influence of the particle size of LDPE on the performance of Cu/LDPE composites.

Dielectric properties of POSS/LDPE and MgO/LDPE nanocomposites compounded by different techniques
2017 IEEE Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomenon (CEIDP), 2017Metallic oxide reinforced thermoplastics are good candidates as insulating material for HVDC cables because of their ability to limit or suppress space charges injection and accumulation. Furthermore, materials for applications for electrical engineering must also be able to evacuate heat.

Characteristics of LDPE pyrolysis
Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2002Pyrolysis of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) was studied in order to relieve environmental pollution and recover the monomer or fuel. LDPE was thermally decomposed with and without catalyst. First, efficiency of oil production was analyzed according to the variation of reaction conditions such as reaction temperature, types of additives and catalyst ...
