Geochemistry‐Driven Recovery of Li and Fe From Spent LiFePO4 Cathodes via Stabilized Phosphorus Mineralization

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
A geochemistry‐guided, acid‐free recycling paradigm for spent LFP batteries. ABSTRACT The rapid expansion of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries presents a critical challenge for sustainable end‐of‐life management, where conventional recycling methods heavily depend on intensive acid/oxidant use and overlook persistent phosphorus pollution.

Tillage and no-tillage effects on physical characteristics of a silt loam under 5 years of continuous oats-maize crop rotation : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Applied Science in Agricultural Engineering, Institute of Technology and Engineering, Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Conservation tillage is one of the conserving practices recognized worldwide despite its empirical benefits still largely undergoing continuous research. This research is part of a sequence of studies carried out at Massey University tillage trial.

Efficient Recycling of Spent LiCoO2 Cathodes Via Confined Pore‐Assisted Simplified Direct Carbothermic Reduction Without External Reducing Agents

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A simplified direct carbothermic reduction (SDCR) process is developed for efficient recycling of spent LiCoO2 cathodes. The SDCR method employs carbon conductive agents and organic binders embedded in the electrode as internal reducing agents, while the confined pores of calendered electrodes promote the retention of in situ generated reduction gases.

High‐Adhesion Quadruple Hydrogen‐Bonded Ionogels: A Dual‐Function Platform for Gesture Recognition and Real‐Time NH3 Detection in Multiscenario

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Quadruple hydrogen‐bonded high‐adhesion ionogels for gesture recognition and real‐time NH3 sensing. Ionogels have garnered significant attention in flexible sensing due to their outstanding mechanical properties, conductivity, and stability. However, establishing a robust and stable adhesive interface with various substrates remains a significant ...

Composition of Leachate

open access: yes, 2015
Solid waste is an important environmental problem in both developing and developed countries. Management of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) is one of the main modern environmental issues in municipal areas because of both its huge amount and variety of constituents.

A Polymethyl Methacrylate Bone Cement With Reduced Stress Concentration

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
PMMA/PLA/CNT composite bone cement with reduced stress concentration. ABSTRACT Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) bone cement is the earliest and most widely used in clinical applications. However, PMMA bone cement has high hardness and high modulus, which leads to secondary fracture of adjacent vertebrae. In this study, a PMMA/polylactic acid (PLA)/carbon

Toxicity of tire debris leachates

open access: yesEnvironment International, 2005
Data on the indicators of environmental impact of tire debris, originated from the tire abrasion on roads, are extremely scarce, while it is well known that tires may produce deleterious effects. Tire debris contains significant quantities of zinc (Zn) which may be released by tire rubber.
