Some studies of lead free KNN LN ceramics [PDF]
Investigations in the development of lead-free (1 − x)(K0.5Na0.5)NbO3-xLiNbO3 piezoelectric ceramics have recently claimed comparable properties to the lead-based ferroelectric perovskites.

Transferring lead-free piezoelectric ceramics into application
After twenty years of partly quiet and ten years of partly enthusiastic research into lead-free piezoceramics there are now clear prospects for transfer into applications in some areas. This mimics prior research into eliminating lead from other technologies that resulted in restricted lead use in batteries and dwindling use in other applications.

Dielectric and Piezoelectric Properties of lead free ferroelectric (Ba0.9Ca0.1)(Ti1-xSnx)O3(x=0.06, 0.08,0.1) Ceramics [PDF]
In the present project, (Ba0.9Ca0.1)(Ti1-xSnx)O3(x=0.06, 0.08 and 0.1) lead-free ceramics were synthesized by conventional solid state route. XRD analysis of calcined sample shows formation of perovskite phase.

A meta-analysis of the mechanical properties of ice-templated ceramics and metals [PDF]
Ice templating, also known as freeze casting, is a popular shaping route for macroporous materials. Over the past 15 years, it has been widely applied to various classes of materials, and in particular ceramics.

Piezoelectric properties of polymer/lead-free ceramic composites [PDF]
Thermoplastic/lead-free piezoelectric ceramic composite have been prepared. Sodium niobate (NaNbO3) has been chosen for its high Curie temperature. Moreover, it could be synthesized with two different morphologies: NaNbO3 nanowires (NN NW’s) and NaNbO3 particles (NNP’s).
